Amumu, Irelia, Taliyah, Singed, Jarvan IV, and Shen are getting some notable nerfs on League of Legends patch 11.20.
The last few patches were all about balancing the game focusing on Worlds 2021. And now that the Worlds patch is locked, from patch 11.20 Riot is going back to the normal patch changes.
League of Legends’ Designer on the Summoner’s Rift team, Riot Phlox has now previewed the upcoming LoL patch 11.20. And it seems, soloq dominant champions Amumu, Irelia, Taliyah, Singed, Jarvan IV, and Shen are getting targeted by Riot on patch 11.20.
“We’re following up on a few changes that overshot a bit and otherwise doing some adjustments for soloq champs,” Riot Phlox on patch 11.20 changes.
Amumu Nerf Patch 11.20
- Q:
- Damage: 70/100/130/160/190 >>> 70/95/120/145/170
- Mana Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 >>> 70
Amumu is pretty much on a roller coaster ride in League of Legends. Because of his kit being overpowered for the new Mythic items, he was nerfed twice in a single patch that pretty much made him useless for most of season 11.
Riot however recently gave Amumu a mini-rework where he now has two Q charges. And just after that mini-rework his pick and win rate skyrocketed just like the preseason.
Currently, he has a whopping 52.94% win rate at Support role while having a 12.3% pick rate and 33.9% ban rate. Moreover, he also has a 52.42% win rate in the Jungle as well. As his mini-rework went live without any kind of changes on the Worlds patch, he is also going to be highly contested in the Worlds for sure.
Even though Riot can’t change his outcome in Worlds anymore, they are nerfing The Sad Mummy on League of Legends patch 11.20.
Irelia Nerf Patch 11.20

Irelia recently received a mini-rework similar to Amumu on Patch 11.14. And since that update, things accelerated very quickly for Irelia in League of Legends.
Even though Riot did nerf her on LoL patch 11.15 and 11.17, she is still dominating the soloq like no other. Currently, she has the highest — 44.5% ban rate in Plat+ Elo while having a 49.27% win rate. Resulting in her to be the perfect contestant for the patch 11.20 nerf.
Taliyah Nerf Patch 11.20
- Subsequent Hit Monster Damage: 80% >>> 75%
Even though Taliyah didn’t receive any mini-reworks like Irelia or Amumu, she received a new effect on her Q on patch 11.18. And after that buff alone her win rate jumped to 52.37% in soloq. Although her pick rate is still relatively low, Riot is nerfing her on patch 11.20.
Singed Nerf Patch 11.20

- Damage: 50/65/80/95/110 (+75% AP) >>> 50/60/70/80/90 (+60% AP)
Similar to Taliyah, Singed also received a small tweak on patch 11.18 resulting in his win rate jumping to an astonishing 53.27% in Plat+ Elo. Therefore, he is also having the same fate as Taliyah on the upcoming patch.
Jarvan IV Nerf Patch 11.20
- Passive:
- Damage: 10% current HP >>> 8% current HP
J4 is one of the meta junglers in League of Legends at this moment having a 51.92% win rate and 13.3% pick rate. His early gank pressure along with that buff on patch 11.16 made him pretty much unstoppable in the soloq.
Shen Nerf Patch 11.20
- Passive:
- Shield: 60-111 >>> 50-101
Besides that change on patch 11.9, Shen didn’t receive any significant update in Season 11. However, he is still managing to have a 51.78% win rate at the Top lane while having a 5.0% pick rate.
