Nine champions including Annie, Aurelion Sol, Gwen, Irelia, Kayle (Mid), Sylas, Thresh, Viego (lane), and Wukong are set to receive some significant nerfs in League of Legends patch 11.15.

League of Legends patch 11.15 is going to nerf “overpowered” Gwen, Irelia, Sylas, and Viego. Additionally, Annie, Aurelion Sol, Kayle, Thresh, and Wukong are also getting targeted as well.
All the nerfs will be available in patch 11.15 PBE for testing and full changes are scheduled to go live on July 21, 2021.

Gwen Nerf Patch 11.15
- E:
- Attack Speed: 40-80% >>> 20-80%
Since her release on patch 11.8, Gwen has been considered as one of the strongest top lane champions in League of Legends. With her W – Hallowed Mist and Q – Snip Snip!, she can pretty much 1v1 with any top lane champions in the early game while being strong in the late game.
Even though she has a below 50% win rate, currently she has a massive 36.0% ban rate in the soloq. On top of that, Gwen also has a whopping 82.4% presence in the pro game making her a perfect candidate for this nerf on patch 11.15.
Annie Nerf Patch 11.15
- Q:
- AP Ratio: 80% >>> 75%
Annie nerf comes in a bit of surprise. Currently, on patch 11.14, Annie has a 52.32% win rate but she only has a 2.1% pick rate. However, for patch 11.15, Riot is now nerfing her Q AP ratio by 5%.
Aurelion Sol Nerf Patch 11.15
- E:
- Flight Distance: 5500-7500 >>> 5000
Similar to Annie, Aurelion Sol has a significantly low pick rate – 1.0% but has a 54.4% win rate in Plat+ Elo. Riot Jag said, “Aurelion Sol’s Elite win rate in the last 2 patches has been 57.3% and 57.4%.”
“Both of those have been the highest win rates of any champion in Elite MMR,” Riot Jag added. “He doesn’t have the highest “1 trick” rate or comparable metric that would suggest his low play rate is a cause.”
Irelia Nerf Patch 11.15
- W:
- AD Ratio: 50% >>> 40%
- Physical DR: 40-80 >>> 40-70%
- Magic DR: 20-40% >>> 20-35%
Irelia just received her massive mini-rework on patch 11.14. But it seems, the changes were too good for her as just after the mini-rework, her pick rate increased more than 6%. Furthermore, currently, she also has a 51.22% win rate while having a 22.7% ban rate. And by looking at the stats, everyone saw this nerf coming on patch 11.15.
Kayle Nerf Patch 11.15
- Base stats:
- Magic Resist: 30 >>> 26
Just like Annie and Aurelion Sol, Kayle also doesn’t have any significant pick rate but getting nerfs for having a 51%+ win rate in the last few patches.
Sylas Nerf Patch 11.15
- Q:
- Damage: 60-280 (+80% AP) >>> 70-290 (+90% AP)
- W:
- Healing: 30-150 (+45% AP) >>> 25-125 (+40% AP)
Sylas on the other hand has a completely different story. He currently has a massive 13.2% pick rate and 19.2% ban rate while having a 50.32% win rate. Therefore, he is getting a nerf treatment on patch 11.15.
Thresh Nerf Patch 11.15
- E:
- Cooldown: 11-9 >>> 13-10
Thresh is the only support champion to get nerf on patch 11.15. Even though he already received four nerfs in season 11, he still has an 18.0% pick rate and 50.57% win rate. His pick rate is also the highest among any other support champions.
Viego Nerf Patch 11.15
- Q:
- Base Damage: 25-85 >>> 15-75
- Bonus Damage to Monsters: 10 >>> 20
- Healing from Minions: 50% >>> 10%
Because of how obnoxious his ultimate is, Viego is currently one of the hated champions in League of Legends. Currently, he has an astonishing 37.6% ban rate while having a 12.4% pick rate.
Furthermore, he also has a 66.8% presence and 51.8% win rate in the pro game as well. Therefore, he is getting another nerf to his lanning on patch 11.15.
Wukong Nerf Patch 11.15
- Base stats:
- HP5: 4 >>> 2.5
Even with the nerf on patch 11.12, Wukong still has a massive 52.12% win rate in the soloq. For which Riot is giving him nerf on patch 11.15 once again.
