Riot Games have revealed the upcoming skin, Faerie Court Katarina, that will also receive a prestige edition.
Compared to season 12, in season 13, we have received many more unique skin lines. Most skins in the previous season were from well-established universes or themes. However, most skins are from original skin lines and universes in the current season.
At the beginning of the year, Riot released the Mythmaker skins for Lunar New Year 2023. Alongside Mythmaker, they also made new Lunar Emperor skins as well. After that, we received the Heartache and Hearttrhob skin line for Valentine’s, a completely unique skin line that featured Caitlyn, Vi, and Amumu skins. And then, for patch 13.4, Riot announced the latest iteration of the Astronaut skin line.
And in the last patch, Riot released a new skin line inspired by the Medieval Gothic Church, Broken Covenant. Now, we will finally see Riot release the anticipated Faerie Court skin line they teased a while back.
During the season 2023 roadmap video, Riot announced a few work-in-progress skins, two of them from a new skin line called Faerie Court.
And in patch 13.6, Riot will finally release these skins. Including Prestige Edition, Faerie Court will feature 8 new skins. And the champion who will receive the prestige edition is Faerie Court Katarina.
Katarina was one of the first champions released in League of Legends. Moreover, she is among the first champions with a high skill ceiling. Although she is an old champion, she hasn’t changed much since her release.
When it comes to cosmetics, Katarina has 14 unique skins. However, she does not have any prestige edition skins. This upcoming Faerie Court skin will be her first prestige skin in the game.
