Best Octane Skins in Apex Legends 2022: All Skins Ranked from Worst to Best

Here we’ll talk about all the best Octane skins that Respawn has released in Apex Legends so far in 2022.

Respawn made a surprise launch of Apex Legends back in February 2019. It was a massive hit despite the unannounced release of the game. And within one month of the launch, 50 million people registered to play Apex Legends. As of now, around 130 million people play this game worldwide from multiple platforms.

Apex Legends is a battle royale game, but the hero-shooter aspect, precise gunplay, movement, and character differentiations have made the game popular among all sorts of player bases across the globe.

One such legend is called Octane. Octane first came out in season 1 of Apex Legends and is arguably the fastest character in the game. He is an adrenaline junkie who can go faster with his tactical stim ability and ultimate jump pad.

For those who like to do flashy tap-strafe, wall bounce, and rope jumps, Octane is the perfect legend for such movements. The movement feels smooth and flamboyant with this specific legend. Nonetheless, for a flashy legend like Octane, there needs to be some garish cosmetics equipped that can make the gameplay experience a whole lot better.

So, here we will showcase some of the best Octane skins that Respawn has released so far till season 12 of Apex Legends.

How Many Octane Skins are there in Apex Legends?

Right now in season 12 of Apex Legends, Respawn has released 79 skins so far. Among them, there are 22 legendary, 14 Epic, 27 Rare, and 16 Common Octane skins.

Best Octane Skins in Apex Legends (A Complete Tier List)

Here we’ll rank all the Octane skins that Respawn has released so far in the game. We’ll put all the skins into three distinct tiers such as S-Tier, A-Tier, and lastly B-Tier.

The S-Tier Octane skins represent the best of the bests. There are plenty of tacky skins for Octane that can make players stand out among others. A-Tier Octane skins are also superb, falling closely behind the S-Tier skins. The B-Tier Octane skins feel average compared to the S-Tier and A-Tier skins.

Just as any other Tier list, this one is purely subjective. Any skin from this list can be put into any mentioned categories. This list is intended chiefly to assist novices and veteran players looking for some of the best-looking legendary Octane skins.

  • Best(S-Tier): Peak Performance, Arachnoid Rush, Extreme Measures
  • Good(A-Tier): El Tigre, Riding Dirty, Fast Fashion, Clocktane
  • Average(B-Tier): Wild Speed, Sonic Boom, Dasher.

This fancy Octane skin was first released in the Grand Soirée Arcade Event in Season 3 of Apex Legends. Fast Fashion was released in the season 7 battle pass called Ascension. It is by far the stylish-looking skin that Respawn has released for Octane. The spiked hairs, goggles, and the glossy golden accent all over the skin and legs make the skin more attractive to the eyes. There was also a recolor released in the Black Friday Sale in March 2022 named Overdrive with a black and red theme.

5. Riding Dirty

Riding Dirty is a Warrior-themed skin that was released in the Warriors Collection Event for season 12 of Apex Legends. 4. El Tigre

As the name implies, El Tigre is a tiger-themed octane skin that came to Apex Legends at the 2nd year Anniversary Collection Event back in 2019. This skin is a recolor of its original green counterpart, called Jade Tiger, which was unleashed in the season 2 battle pass. El Tigre has cool designs on the skin of his throat, chest plate, and legs that make the skin more unique from the original skin.

3. Extreme Measures

Extreme Measures is the only skin in this list, which is a byproduct of legendary stock cosmetics in the store. The purple and yellow color combination is just an Octane thing! It is a recolor of The Victory Lap that came to the store 3 times throughout Apex Legend’s lifetime. So, it is as rare as any other premium skins out there.

2. Arachnoid Rush

Arachnoid Rush is white-colored skin with a purple accent on top. The first look of the skin reminds the players of spiders, and that’s right, it was originated from the arachnids. Arachnoid Rush came with the Octane Edition bundle in 2020, and players can still get this skin anytime from the store. Because of its availability, this skin falls short of the number 1 contender on our list.

1. Peak Performance

Peak Performance has a superhero and supervillain vibe at the same time. The cosmetic has a bulky plastic suit made of an orange and off-white color. The coolest part of the skin is its helmet, which looks like an aerodynamic bike helmet. The spikes on the shoulders and his gloves make the skin more flashy and dangerous. Respawn released Peak Performance in Evolution Collection Event in season 10 of Apex Legends.

Will past event-related Octane skins ever return?

The event and recolor skins may ultimately make their way to the store, and skins like Clocktane, Riding Dirty, and Extreme Measures may still be available. Like Jade Tiger and Fast Fashion, octane skins from the battle pass will not be available in the Apex Legend store. However, Respawn has announced that battle pass skins from Season 11 and onwards may be available in an event-specific skin package in the future.
