Here we will talk about all the best Gibraltar skins that Respawn has released in Apex Legends so far.
Respawn broke new ground in the battle royale gaming industry with the launch of Apex Legends. This dark horse surprised everyone by showing how many features and tricks it was hiding up its sleeves inside the game.
Apex Legends was the first game to put the hero-shooter system into practice in the battle royale genre. Though it was a risky step taken by Respawn, it actually became fruitful later down the line because millions of people became regular players of the game within a short period of time.
The game was initially released with 8 Legends. Gibraltar was one of those first characters to set foot in the Apex game. Though at first, Gibraltar wasn’t a very popular choice among players, through some tweaks and buffs, he has now become one of the if not the best Legends in the game.
Gibraltar is a fearless Defensive character. After Gibraltar’s father lost an arm in a tragic accident while saving him, he devoted his life to helping those in need. Whereas most other Legends joined the Apex game for fame and money, Gibraltar, on the other hand, joined the Apex game to protect others.
Gibraltar is one of the very few Legends who is loved by all. As a result, Respawn has taken its sweet time to create some magnificent skins for him. Also, as he has been in the game for a long time, Respawn had the chance to release a diverse collection of skins for this loved legend.

The Dark Side Skin exactly represents that opposing version of Gibraltar that players would never love to see. This skin is a Legendary stock cosmetic that can be found in the Legends Skins section.
Other alternatives and variants:

9. Monster Mashed
Monster Mashed was originally a part of the Fight or Fright Event in 2019, a Frankenstein-inspired skin that spreads a spooky aura from Gibraltar. The skin also has a recolor version called “Born in Blood.”
8. Golden God
At first look, the Golden God looks nothing less than a fan-favorite Ironman suit. To be more precise, it looks like the Hulkbuster Ironman Suit because of the color combination and how buffed the skin looks in real. The skin was released in 2021 as part of the Season 8 Anniversary Collection Event. In 2022, the skin was reintroduced during the Lunar New Year Sale.
7. Imperial Defender
As the name suggests, Imperial Defender skin is inspired by the royal guards of the imperial palace in Chinese history. The skin has a Blue and golden primary color armor with a subtle red accent around his neck. The skin was released in 2020 as part of Season 5’s Lost Treasures Collection Event. It was reintroduced as part of a bundle during the Evolution Collection Event Shop.
6. King of the Sea
Though he looks nothing like the Aquaman, he sure looks like the leader of a Coastal Tribe with King of The Sea skin. The well-thought-out details on the cosmetics and the tattoo throughout the body add more to the story. This skin came out as a part of the Gibraltar Edition bundle.
5. Golden Guardian
Whereas King of The Sea makes Gibraltar look like a leader of a Coastal Tribe, The Golden Guardian makes him a scary and fearsome commander of an arctic tribe who is ready to defend his family at any cost. The skin was Released during the Season 12 Anniversary Collection Event in 2022.
4. Call to Arms
Call to Arms is one of the oldest and rarest skins to come into the game. The skin was Part of Season 2’s Iron Crown Event in 2019. This version of Gibraltar looks a bit old, but that also means he is more experienced than anyone else. If you failed to get this skin, there is also a recolor version of this, with red being the highlighting color named Blood and Thunder. It was released in War Games Thematic Event in season 8.
3. Lost Dynasty
Lost Dynasty is a samurai-themed skin released in the Chaos Theory Collection Event in season 8. The insane design and details in the skin make this skin a work of art. The vibrant orange color also makes it stand out from the rest of the crowd.
2. Ring Leader
The Ring Leader skin seems to be clearly inspired by Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock. The Tattoo on his chest, the Bull-themed shield, the belt buckle, and the skin name itself confirm it. Apart from the inspiration, the skin is also S-Tier because of how gorgeous it looks. The skin was originally released during the Season 9 Thrillseekers Arenas Event.
1. Brudda Bear
Most Apex Legends players will agree that Brudda Bear is by far the best skin for Gibraltar. The bandaid patches on his eyes, the red and blue muffler, and the Christmas hat make this skin more adorable. This polar bear skin for Gibraltar was originally launched in Mirage’s Holo-Day Bash Event in 2019. After that, it reappeared on two separate occasions.
Will past event-related Gibraltar skins ever return?
Respawn has announced that battle pass skins from Season 11 and onwards may be available in an event-specific skin package in the future. So, the event and recolor skins may ultimately make their way to the store. However, older skins from Battlepass may never make it into the game ever.
