Riot has confirmed that Zyra will be part of a future mini-rework in League of Legends.

League of Legends has undergone a lot of midscopes and reworks in the past year or so. In Preseason and Season 13, there are many such changes. This is Riot’s attempt to reinvent or fix outdated or regressing champions and bring them back to the fold.

So far, Riot has done mini-reworks on Zeri, Dr. Mundo, Tahm Kench, Jax, Azir, and many more. There was also the Aurelion Sol Rework that really reinvented the champion. Future mini-reworks are also planned as Kayle and Neeko reworks are in the pipeline. Given Riot’s past record for the last year or so, these reworks have been landing well, with them improving the champions.

There are definitely more reworks or updates to be done for older champions, and Riot has said as much that they will be doing more ASUs with ones of Lee Sin and Teemo in the works. One of those champions that have not received some significant update in Zyra. Some news has appeared on that front, as Zyra is on a shortlist to get a midscope. Here is what we know so far.

Future Zyra Mini-Rework

Riot Yelough, the designer behind the Aurelion Sol Rework, has previously commented on doing a rework on Zyra. He recently mentioned that Zyra is on his list to explore for a midscope. So Zyra has not been forgotten by Riot because designers and developers behind the game have her on a shortlist.

So far, only his brainstormed ideas have been discussed on a stream with LS. Neither of these is confirmed, but a Reddit post has compiled them. It is unclear how Zyra will be changed.

Possible Changes

The Reddit post above lists some possible changes Riot Yelough brainstormed. None of this is official or confirmed in any way, shape, or form.

  • Jungle Zyra
  • Something around movespeed with her plants
    • Zyra gains bonus movespeed near her plants
    • Zyra’s allies gain movespeed toward plant attack targets
  • Removing passive seed RNG in favor of adding more W stacks

Release Date

It is unclear when and if Zyra’s rework will happen. We will update you based on when the Rework will be coming once Riot officially updates us. We only know that Riot has Zyra on a shortlist for a midscope, and Zyra players can hope this comes true.
