With the introduction of Premier, it is time to learn about the most essential smoke lineups for the newest map in the map pool, Anubis.

Anubis is the latest addition to the Counter-Strike 2 competitive map rotation. The map is equally stunning and challenging to get into. The map has a similar playstyle to your general 3-laned maps like Mirage and Dust 2. However, the extra path under Mid adds a layer of map control not seen in the maps mentioned above.

With premier matchmaking, you might want to expand your map pool to include punish picks. For these situations, Anubis can be a great option. In this guide, you will get to know all the essential smokes that will help you start your Anubis games on the front foot!

Anubis Smoke Lineups in CS2

Anubis is the latest map in the competitive scene. Replacing Dust 2, which Anubis joined at the tail end of 2022 and moved into CS2, will play a massive part in the strategy-making decisions at the top level of Counter-Strike. However, the map is not as favored by the casual player base as it is rather challenging to master.

With that in mind, we are here to show you some of the more essential smokes that will help you get up to speed with the sandy landscape of Anubis. If you are confused as to how you can practice these smokes, we have just the read for you.

Anubis CT-Side Smokes

CT-sided smokes are mostly to help take control of the map and do some aggressive plays. We have some useful smokes that you can use to force the opponent to respect the positions and play defensive.

Mid Smoke

Stand on the right-side edge of the second stone square at CT-spawn.

Aim to the left of the stone pillar, where you will find a crack to lock into. You can also line it up using the pink flower, aiming at the top surface pillar after lining up with the flower.

Jump Throw the smoke. Your smoke will allow you to peek down the bridge to the underpass and get some information and control.

Anubis T-Side Smokes

Naturally, the smokes for the T-side are more methodical and require lineups. Without smokes, taking any site is very hard because you will have to clear a lot more angles that the CTs can play from and retake. Our essential lineups will help you perfect your site takes.

A-Site: Heaven Smoke

Stand in the corner in the water opposite the stairs outside A-main.
