Learn about the grandfather of all mods for Starfield.
By this time, there should be almost a hundred mods available for Starfield. Each of them has something unique to try out. And, yes, the Nic Cage mod was the furthest thing from our minds. However, the Starfield Script Extender (SFSE), a mod for the Special Edition of Starfield, has been getting quite a bit more praise than the other releases. And you might wonder, What kind of script is getting extended?
In general, a script extender mod lets modders access and modify the game’s script, on which the whole game’s functionality is based. This lets them make mods that are more complicated and unique. Moreover, it lets the scripts deal with the game’s world and objects. Modders can also make their own plugins, improve the way code works, and use other tools and resources to help them make changes.
And that kind of mod is now available for Starfield. The blessed mod community really showed how important a Script Extender is. Not only can modders now dive deep into the game, but it also needs some other mods to get functional. So without further ado, let’s hop in to learn more about this.
SKSE Mod for Starfield
With the SKSE mod in Starfield, fellow modders can now make the game more interesting by adding new quests, characters, and things, changing how physics and gameplay work, making new visual effects, making the game run faster, and fixing bugs and glitches. To be more specific, it stops where your imagination stops.
However, there is a catch. This mod is compatible with the Steam version of Starfield right now. Kind of burnout if you have the Windows or Game Pass version.
How to Install SFSE Mod
