Ever since Respawn introduced cross-play in Apex Legends back in 2020, the whole community started to flood Respawn with questions regarding whether they would ever add cross-progression in the game.

Cross-play allows players to play with their friends on completely different platforms. However, it still doesn’t let them transfer their saves and progression to the platform of their choice. Basically, players can’t simply migrate to other platforms right now.

Even if you are on the PC platform, simply transferring your saves in origin to Steam is also not possible. Many in the community have started on consoles or PCs and want to switch to a new platform but are unable to do so.
Cross-progression is Still Up in the Air
Players are always begging Respawn to add this feature to the game. But as of the latest update, it turns out that Respawn is still considering cross-progression for Apex Legends. However, there is still no definite answer yet, as of writing.

In the EA’s support forum, players are constantly nagging Respawn about updates regarding cross-progression. In response, EA’s community managers are saying that they have shared players’ feedback with the team.
In the past, Respawn dev has given some explanation on why cross-progression is just too difficult to implement in a stable manner. Since Apex Legends currently runs on so many different platforms, merging them all into one might introduce some unwanted bugs along with technical nightmares for developers.
The Apex Legends community unanimously wants this feature in the game. But Respawn still has no real update regarding the matter.
