According to some data miners, Akshan might be the upcoming Sentinel of Light marksman for Mid lane in League of Legends.

Earlier this year, Riot Games released one of the most anticipated champions Viego, the Ruined King. And later in the champion roadmap, revealed that three champions closely related to Viego’s lore: Gwen, a Sentinel of Light marksman, and a Yordle champion will make their way in 2021.

In the meantime, Riot has already released Gwen, The Hallowed Seamstress. Based on the champions in season 2021’s announcement, the Yordle champion was scheduled to come out next after Gwen. However, in the latest champion roadmap, Riot confirmed to delay the Yordle champion’s release and announced that the Sentinel of Light champion will officially become League of Legends’ 156th champion.

And ahead of the Sentinel of Light marksman’s release, there have been some leaks earlier this month that strongly suggest that Akshan is going to be the upcoming Sentinel of Light champion in League of Legends.

The leaks come from the Chinese Wild Rift data miners. And according to them, the upcoming new Sentinel of Light champion is called Akshan, the Lost Sentinel.

Nothing is confirmed so far and you will have to take these leaks with a grain of salt. However, there’s already a r/AkshanMains subreddit for Akshan that has around 119 members. Previously, Samira, Yone, and Lillia’s leak did come true therefore we will now have to wait for the official Akshan’s announcement to confirm this leak.

Riot has already unveiled the upcoming new game mode, Ultimate Spellbook, that is set to release in LoL patch 11.14 with a new event. Meaning, Akshan is very likely to release with this new event on patch 11.14 as well and we might see his reveal trailer very soon.

In the meantime, you can check our previous article for Akshan’s speculated abilities, kit, role, and some additional teaser images.
