League of Legends 150th champion Yone is about to release on August 5, but apparently it seems like he is already getting nerf on the PBE.

Riot Games announced that there will be five new champions in 2020. For the Spirit Blossom event, they have already released the dreamy jungler Lillia and after months of speculations, they have finally introduced the masked assassin Yone who is scheduled to release on patch 10.16.

Soon after his reveal on the “Kin of the Stained Blade” cinematic, Yone received overwhelming responses from the League communities. And when he was added in the PBE for testing a lot of players also jumped into the PBE to try and figure out his unique kit. While playing, a lot of players were convinced that Yone is somewhat a balanced champion but occasionally his kit would feel “unfair.”

League of Legends’ lead gameplay designer Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has already previewed the patch 10.16, but apparently it seems like, Riot is pushing some more changes into the PBE including Yone nerfs.

Yone Nerfs in the PBE:

  • HP Per level lowered from 90 to 85
  • Spirit Cleave (W):
    • Total max health damage lowered from 12-16% to 11-15%
    • Base shield value lowered from 40-75 to 40-60
Yone Nerfs in the PBE:
via Surrender at 20

Before his release on patch 10.16, Riot is already adjusting some of his stats. They are lowering his base HP by 5 and for his W, they have reduced the total max health damage by 1% on each level. Riot is also planning to lower his base shield value from his W – Spirit Cleave at the max level.

It may seem like Yone’s main ability is E as he can do all these flashy moves with that Spirit form, but his W is one of his crucial abilities as it can deal a massive AOE damage while giving him a big chunk of shields.

All these new changes on the PBE are for testing purposes and based on feedbacks this new changes may or may not go into the live servers on patch 10.16 which is scheduled for August 5, 2020.
