In Season 3, Warzone 2.0 has shaken things up with Buy Station changes. Let’s see the exact changes.
Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 will have their Season 3 update on April 12, 2023, at 10 am PDT/1 pm EST. Activision has already released the full patch notes revealing what to expect.
A lot of things will change starting with Season 3. For starters, DMZ will completely overhaul its in-game mechanics and items. In Warzone 2.0 and MWII, there’ll be new game modes, Backwell Battlepass, new weapons, and more.
To shake things up, Activision is also introducing new features, such as UAV Towers in Warzone 2.0. However, players are more excited to know about the Buy Station changes in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ, which had been a major concern for players for quite a while.
But don’t worry. Activision took notice of players’ feedback and made necessary changes to the Buy Station to make it viable in actual matches. Here’s everything being changed with the Buy Station.

Warzone 2.0 and DMZ Buy Station Changes
Warzone 2.0
More Buy Stations
One of the major concerns regarding Warzone 2.0’s Buy Stations was the numbers. They were very limited and located in unsafe spots where other people camped and killed anyone who decided to use the Buy Stations.
However, starting in Season 3, players will find more Buy Stations throughout the maps in Warzone 2.0. Moreover, these Buy Stations will be placed in safer spots.
Portable Buy Stations (Mid-Season)
Although Activision is increasing the number of Buy Stations throughout the maps, they will introduce Portable Buy Stations in the next mid-seasonal update. Players will be able to buy items from the Portable Buy Stations using the leftover money anytime during the game. However, they will be very limited in stock.
DMZ
Barter
In Season 3, players will find a new option while using the Buy Stations in DMZ. Players can use “Recipes” and exchange items to craft something better that’ll be useful to you during the match. The Recipes will give you a list of items that you have to collect to craft better items like Plate Carriers and Backpacks, Killstreaks, Self-Revive Kits, and Keys. Apart from helping players, the Barter system has been introduced so players can explore the Exclusion Zones.
Contraband Workbench
Contraband Workbench will also be located near the Buy Stations. You can call this an extension of the Buy Stations. The Workbench allows players to add attachments they have unlocked for any weapon platform onto a piece of Contraband or Insured Weapon for a nominal cash fee. The Workbench acts as an in-game gunsmith that enables players to unlock the full potential of their weapons by customizing them in any way.
