Warzone 2.0 is finally getting UAV towers. The new feature will help players get intel without buying or acquiring a UAV killstreak.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the revamped BR experience that borrows many mechanics from its predecessor. The BR title has many unique in-game items and features that make it stand out from other games.
One of the unique features of Warzone 2.0 is allowing players to use killstreaks to their advantage. The killstreaks in Warzone 2.0 are categorized based on their damaging and recon capabilities.
Killstreaks such as the UAV and Advanced UAV allow players to recon their surroundings. The intel helps players plan their next move on the battlefield. To aid players with more recon abilities, IW has decided to add UAV towers from DMZ to Warzone 2.0.

What is a UAV Tower?
A UAV tower is a stationary recon device players can activate to get a ping of enemy location on the tacmap. Using the UAV tower is free of cost and is seen mostly around the prominent POIs on the map.

The UAV tower can be very advantageous at the start of a Warzone 2.0 match, as players can land on a POI and use it to get the location of enemy players around them.
How to Activate a UAV Tower
The UAV tower is marked with an antenna tower on the map. To activate a UAV tower, players must reach one of these antenna towers scattered across Al Mazrah. After that, approach the laptop attached to the UAV tower to activate the UAV.

After activating the prompt, players will start seeing pings on the map. The pings will reveal the last location of other players. However, the devs have not revealed further details about the UAV tower’s usage time and range for Warzone 2.0.
