Warzone 2.0 Season 3 is almost here. The new season is set to introduce new changes and new content, such as maps, weapons, and in-game customization items.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is currently at the last stage of season 2. While Season 2 has managed to bring Warzone 2.0 from an almost-dead state, players are still waiting for more. To quench their thirst for new content, IW is releasing Season 3 soon.

Season 3 will introduce many new changes to both Warzone 2.0 and MW2. However, it seems like Warzone 2.0 will receive the majority share of content in the latest update. Players will finally get two new weapons, changes to DMZ, and many new Warzone 2.0-related content.

Let’s take a look at everything new in Warzone 2.0 Season 3.

Everything New in Season 3

Resurgence Comes to Al Mazrah

Fans of the fast-paced Resurgence mode will have a new version of Resurgence to look forward to, in addition to Ashika Island remaining as a game mode option. This new version, Massive Resurgence, is a Resurgence mode on the larger Al Mazrah map. Depending on the weekly Playlist offering, the player count will be increased to fit Al Mazrah.

New Gulag in Al Mazrah

In Season 03, eliminated Operators will enter a new Gulag in Al Mazrah if it is not closed due to time during the match. This is known as the Blacksite, which is separate from the Black Site, a super Stronghold that appears in Battle Royale.

The Blacksite Gulag’s current location is [[REDACTED]]. Those who own Modern Warfare 2 can get some practice on Blacksite and learn its routes by playing the Gunfight game mode or hopping into a Private Match.

Return of Plunder

Warzone 2.0 is adding the Plunder game mode that launched with the original Call of Duty: Warzone three years ago. For players who have yet to experience this fun game mode, Plunder is a respawn-enabled, squad-against-squad mode where the team with the most cash wins.

Cash can be earned by eliminating players and picking up valuables, scavenging for Supply Boxes and loose Cash, or completing Contracts and in-game events. Additionally, operators can use their Loadouts right from the first drop and will redeploy with a reduced portion of their current Cash if eliminated.

New and Returning Features to Battle Royale

Redeploy Drones in Al Mazrah (Launch)

Flying over from Ashika Island, the Redeploy Drones will provide a fast way to travel around the map, outside the train, and a wide selection of air, sea, and land vehicles. Previously, in Warzone 1, the Redeploy drones were known as Redeploy balloons.

Tempered Plate Carriers (Launch)

Another Warzone 1 Caldera-first feature, Tempered Plate Carriers, changes how players handle Armor Plates. With a Tempered Plate Carrier equipped, the armor will be two half-bars instead of three-thirds, making replacing it easier and more efficient after one is cracked.

UAV Towers (Launch)

First seen in Warzone 2.0 DMZ, UAV Towers are vital fixed sources that can be activated during a match to give players intel on their enemy’s position. After interacting with a tower’s onboard computer, players and their allies will receive several circular UAV sweeps from the tower’s location to a few dozen meters.

Deployable Buy Station (In-Season)

In the list of returning items is the Deployable Buy Station, a portable version of the Buy Station with limited stock. The Deployable Buy Station allows players to put that leftover Cash to use on game-changing items.

Perk Package Items (In-Season)

Another addition to the ground loot pool within Season 3 is the preset Perk Package, which can be found in Supply Boxes. On the other hand, lower-rarity Perk Packages are available at Buy Stations. Based on the Perk Packages from Season 1 and Season 2, these items are precious, given their passive benefits.

So stay frosty as we countdown days to the launch of Season 3 on April 12, 2023. The update will be on all platforms at the same time.
