Warzone 2.0 is finally getting Plunder game mode after two seasons. Previously, the game mode was seen in Warzone 1.

Warzone revolutionized the BR genre with its take using CoD‘s in-game mechanics. In addition, Warzone 1 introduced many new game modes, such as Plunder and Resurgence. While Resurgence was made with BR aspects in mind, Plunder was created for players who enjoy multiplayer-like game modes.

Plunder was an instant hit for players looking to cool off on the BR map. As a game mode, Plunder is incredibly beginner friendly. The game has only objective is to accumulate as much cash as possible before time runs out.

Warzone 2.0 was released based on its predecessor. However, Plunder was missing from the active playlist. So, with Season 3, the devs have decided to add Plunder to Warzone 2.0 to cater to casual players. Furthermore, new intel suggests that Plunder will now feature AIs like DMZ.

Warzone 2.0 Plunder AI Combatants Confirmed

In the most recent Warzone 2.0 Season 3 blog post, the devs confirmed Plunder would be added to the game with the update. Furthermore, they focused on everything new in Plunder. One of the unique things was the presence of AI combatants in Al Mazrah for Plunder.

The AI Combatants will hold strongholds and blacksites. Players can eliminate these AIs and earn trophies. Later on, these trophies are bankable in the buy station for the new Trophy hunt event.

The devs have not confirmed if the AI combatants are more potent than the ones players have seen in DMZ. So, stay frosty as we count the hours to the Season 3 update set to release on April 12, 2023, at 10 AM PT.
