Just after one day of her release, League of Legends’ newest champion Vex has already received a hotfix nerf on League of Legends patch 11.19.

After a delay and many speculations, The Gloomist just made her debut in League of Legends. Her unique likable personality and simple kit made her a fan favorite champion even before her release in PBE.

However, after Vex’s release, things seem to be going too much in her favor. Currently, she has a 50.16% win rate after 24h while having a 21.8% ban rate.

And with her having a 50% win rate on day 1, she has one of the “strongest” releases in the modern League of Legends. Compared to the recently released champions, she has a 16% more win rate than Akshan and 11% more win rate than Gwen on the launch day.

Even League of Legends’ Associate Game Designer Tim ‘Truexy’ Jiang has said that “she came out a bit stronger than we’d like.”

Moreover, Riot Tim also confirmed on Twitter that she has already received a hotfix nerf targeting her mid-late game burst damage.

Vex Hotfix Nerf

  • Doom ‘n Gloom (P)
    • Damage: 30-180 (+25% AP) >>> 30-140 (+20% AP)
  • Mistral Bolt (Q)
    • Damage: 60/110/160/210/260 (+60% AP) >>> 60/105/150/195/240 (+60% AP)

Although most of the players are still trying to figure out her kit to play her effectively, Riot has nerfed her max level passive damage by 40. Furthermore, her Q – Mistral Bolt is also seeing some nerf as well.
