Sons of the Forest have a fair few fractions of enemies. Here we will list down all the enemies you can find in the game.
Sons of The Forest is the sequel to the 2014’s The Forest. Since the main game’s events, a bit of time has passed. This time, we are playing as a soldier trying to find and rescue a person on this island. However, as we move over the island, we get shot down by some mutants, and our survival adventure begins.
Ever since the last game’s event, the mutants have evolved further. But along with them, the cannibals and other creatures have also progressed. So this time, we will be fighting many more types of enemies. But that is not all; there are also new and nasty mutants in the game. So here is the enemies list in Sons of The Forest so far.

All Enemies in Sons of The Forest
There are different fractions of enemies in the game. Each bit has different types of attackers. You can often find the other enemy factions fighting over items and such in the world. But since this is an enemies list, we will discuss all of the enemies in the game regardless of their fraction. Here are all the enemy types you can find in Sons of The Forest.
Regular Cannibals
These are this island’s residents and the game’s most common enemies. You can find cannibal camps around the island. They will start as tame and progressively aggressive as you play the game.
Golden Masked Cannibals
As the name suggests, these are cannibals who wear a golden mask. They are supposed to be the leader of the tribe. So it’s not as easy to defeat as the regular cannibals.
Dirty Cannibals
These are the agile enemy types in the cannibal faction. They move around erratically and can even climb trees. If you drop your guard against them, they can easily surprise you in a fight.
Brute Cannibals
These are like the tough warriors of the cannibal tribe. They are pretty hard to take down and deal a lot of damage, and can knock the player down in one hit. They are usually passive until you disturb them by attacking their camp.
Titan Cannibals
These cannibals are red, unlike all the other ones. They are called the titan. They are built like a tank. So you need to be careful when fighting them. Otherwise, they can seriously damage the player and even kill you pretty easily.
Mutant Fingers
Mutants are the other faction of the game. Fingers are mutants with a full body of teeth with a pair of legs attached. They look pretty terrifying and can be found in caves.
Mutant Twins
Twin mutants are made by joining two torsos. They are pretty agile and climb the walls of the cave. So make sure to check the walls when exploring the cave if you do not want to get jumped by them.
Sluggy Mutant
A sluggy mutant is a ball of flesh seemingly made from different other types of mutants. They don’t pose as much threat as some other mutants. However, they mainly act as a path blocker in the game that you need to kill to get past.
Mutant Baby
The baby mutants from the previous game are back again in this one. Alone they don’t pose much of a threat. But if the babies swarm you, they can become enemies that can be quite hard to deal with.
John 2.0/ Caterpillar Mutant
This mutant seems like John from the previous game. So the community calls it John 2.0. They can be found in the forest while you are chopping down trees or just exploring. They are quite fast and move around weirdly. This mutant can knock you down in one hit. So be careful while fighting them in the world.
Blind Mutant
Blind mutants are mutants with no eyes. So they can be quite passive as they cannot see you. But as soon as they realize you are around, they will rush you to attack.
Demon
Yes, there are also demons in this cave. They are not found everywhere, though. The demons are usually found inside the lava cave at the end of the game. So if you are trying to complete the game, you will eventually come in face-to-face with them.
Shark
There aren’t any, if at all, hostile creatures in the game. Sharks are the only hostile animal of Sons of The Forest. So make sure not to stay in the water too long unless you want to get eaten by the shark.
That is all the enemies the game has to offer. But since the game is still in early access, there is no telling if we will get another new enemy when the game fully releases.
