Pearl Abyss has rolled out Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00, and this update brings a solid mix of new gameplay content, progression improvements, quality of life changes, and stability fixes. While it is not a massive expansion-style update, it does add several features that should make exploring Pywel feel more rewarding.
The main highlights of the patch include improvements to Re-Blockade, the addition of the new Wyvern mount, the arrival of the Kuku Bird Chick pet, and two new minigames called Pinball and Orb Roll. On top of that, players can expect several control, combat, UI, localization, and bug fixes across the game.
Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00 Is Now Available Across Most Platforms
According to Pearl Abyss, Patch 1.10.00 is now available on Steam for PC and Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store. The Mac App Store version is still in progress and will receive the update at a later time.
The update mainly focuses on making existing systems smoother while also adding a few fun distractions and collectible-style rewards for players who enjoy side content.
Re-Blockade Gets New Battle and Reconstruct Stages
One of the biggest gameplay changes in Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00 is the improvement to Re-Blockade. Pearl Abyss has adjusted the flow before and after blockades by adding two new stages called Battle and Reconstruct.
Basically, this should make the Re-Blockade system feel more structured and easier to follow. Players can now also request Protection through the contribution assessor in each region, especially for strongholds. Also, it will allow players to suppress Re-Blockades, giving them more control over stronghold management.
Liberating strongholds will now reward players with contributions, provisions, trade goods, and other useful items. For players who spend a lot of time engaging with Pywelโs regional systems, this change makes Re-Blockade feel more meaningful instead of just another repeat activity.
Baby Wyverns and Kuku Bird Chicks Can Become Special Mounts
Patch 1.10.00 also introduces one of the more exciting additions in the update. Baby Wyverns and the new Kuku Bird Chick pet can now grow after being fed. Once they reach a certain growth level, they can be registered as special mounts.
The new Wyvern mount also arrives alongside fresh equipment, including the Wyvern Saddle. Pearl Abyss has also added new pet equipment, such as the Small Kuku Bird Eggshell and the Small Wyvern Aviator Hat.
Pinball and Orb Roll Minigames Arrive in Pywel
Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00 adds two new minigames for players looking for a break from combat and exploration. Pinball has been added to the inn near the Delesyian Institute, while Orb Roll can now be found at the Great Gate of Urdavah.
Both minigames come with their own rewards. Pinball players can earn tokens and exchange them through the Marni Token Exchange for various items, including Material Boxes of Fortune, Abyss Artifacts, Artifact Chests, furniture, gear crafting recipes, and more.
Orb Roll also offers rewards such as Material Boxes of Fortune, Abyss Artifacts, Artifact Chests, a golden apple, carpets, and lights. These additions give players more reasons to explore towns and side areas, especially if they enjoy collecting furniture and decorative items for housing.
Crimson Desert Adds More Housing and Decoration Options
The update also expands house decoration with a new Carpet category. Carpets have been added to items sold at some dyehouses, giving players more ways to personalize their homes.
A cat tower has also been added to Furlington Farm in the Azerian Estate. While this is not a huge gameplay-changing feature, it adds more personality to the world and helps make Pywel feel more lived-in.
Combat, Controls, and UI Receive Several Improvements
Patch 1.10.00 also includes a number of gameplay refinements. Pearl Abyss has added a ground attack skill to Blackstar and improved how element slots and arrow, bullet, or cannonball slots behave during boss battles. If players change those slots during a boss fight, the changes will now remain even after dying and retrying.
Controller users will also notice changes to basic interaction behavior, while keyboard and mouse players should see fixes related to secondary key customization. The update also improves the Photo Mode UI and adds a growth level UI to the inventory, making it easier to track the growth of pets and horses.
Patch 1.10.00 Fixes Several Bugs and Stability Issues
As expected, Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00 includes a long list of bug fixes. Pearl Abyss has addressed issues related to Rematch progress, bosses damaging themselves, pet item pickup problems, map behavior, crashes in the dye menu, unstable rain rendering, quest progression, mounted controls, and more.
There are also fixes for specific characters and abilities, including Damiane, Kliff, and Oongka. Localization errors have also been corrected across all supported languages, which should improve the overall experience for players around the world.
The update does still have at least one known issue. Pearl Abyss says the Phoenix and Iron Eagle currently cannot equip the Sigil of Valor, but this is planned to be fixed in the next patch.
Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00 Is a Strong Quality of Life Update
Crimson Desert Patch 1.10.00 may not completely overhaul the game, but it adds a healthy amount of new content and refinement. The addition of special mounts through Baby Wyverns and the Kuku Bird Chick gives players something fun to work toward, while Pinball and Orb Roll add more side activities to Pywel.
The Re-Blockade improvements also make stronghold-related gameplay more rewarding, and the many fixes should help smooth out some rough edges across combat, UI, exploration, quests, and stability.
