Brand, The Burning Vengeance, is set to receive a VFX update in League of Legends.

Since the game’s release, we have seen many champion releases in League of Legends. Some of these champions have gotten little to no changes in their visuals since their launch. One of these champions is Brand.

Brand was released in League of Legends in 2011. Additionally, his model and VFX barely received any changes since his release. Because of it, he is considered an older champion. His model was unpolished to the point where, when porting him to Wild Rift, Riot fully remade his model from scratch.

Since prior seasons, Riot has been working hard to make sure all champions are up to date. Riot has done many types of champion updates, like ASU, Visual Updates, VGU, etc.

ASU and VGU usually take the most amount of time, as with both, Riot fully overhauls the champion’s visual and design. However, VGU takes slightly longer as they will also change the kit and ability of the champion as well.

However, Riot also does smaller-scale visual updates to their champions to keep up-to-date with the demands. These updates range from splash art changes to VFX overhauls. We have seen various champions receive VFX changes like Fizz, Jax, etc. And now Riot has confirmed that Brand is next in line to receive some upgrades.

Brand VFX Update

RiotMeddler confirmed in a Reddit thread that the Brand VFX is currently being worked on. Even though it is not on hold, it is not being worked on as much as other priority works.

Because of it, RiotMeddler points out that there are no confirmed release dates. He didn’t even mention whether it would come out this year. However, Riot did say that it will come out at some point.

So we can expect this update to come out later than expected, possibly even next season.
