Briar and K’Sante are finally getting nerfed in Patch 13.23.
The previous patch, Patch 13.22 in League of Legends, was pretty small in comparison. It had some quality-of-life changes, such as Mage Basic Attack changes and some minor buffs and nerfs here and there. Aside from that, it was relatively uneventful.
The upcoming patch looks to be another small patch. Due to the arrival of the massive preseason update on November 20, the changes in the last couple of patches have been relatively small.
That said, for Patch 13.23, Riot is more quality of life changes. In the patch, Riot will be adjusting the gold value of the turrets. Additionally, champions like Janna, Riven, and Vel’Koz are getting some buffs. Also, we got some nerfs to some of the strong champions, such as K’Sante, Briar, and Ziggs.

Patch 13.23 Nerfs
Here are all the nerfs coming in the patch,
Champion Nerfs
Briar
- Base Health: 610 >>> 590
- W missing HP damage: 10% + 3.5%% bonus AD >>> 9% +2.5%% bonus AD
Briar is getting nerfed yet again in this patch. Hopefully, these nerfs should be enough to keep Briar in a balanced state.
K’Sante
- Q Mana: 15 >>> 28-20
- Q Base Damage: 30-150 >>> 30-130 (scaling unchanged)
- W Hexflash bug fixed
- E Shield: 45-125 +15% bonus HP >>> 50-210 + 10% bonus HP
- R Passive Amp: 45/60/75% >>> 30-78% by level
- R Bonus AD: 15/30/45 >>> 10/25/40 (scaling unchanged)
The Patch 13.21 changes to K’Sante have made him a tad too strong, which is why Riot is nerfing him in this patch.
Naafiri
- Passive Damage: 6-29.8 + 4.5% bonus AD >>> 5-25 +4.5% bonus AD
- E2 Damage: 65-205 + 80% bonus AD >>> 60-180 + 80% bonus AD
Naafiri, at her current state, is one of the strongest Mid-Laners in Solo-Queue. Due to her high damage and mobility, she can snowball out of control pretty fast. She is also pretty simple to play, thus leading to her 53% win rate in Solo-Queue.
Which is why she is getting some nerfs.
Jarvan IV
- Q Cooldown: 10-6 >>> 10-8
Jarvan IV has been pretty strong for a while now, especially in competitive play. Due to his success in Professional Play, Jarvan IV has been popping up in Solo-Queue, too. Currently, the champion has a 51% pick rate, a 16% pick rate, and a 17% ban rate in Solo-Queue.
As a result, he is getting some nerfed in Patch 13.23.
Ziggs
- Q Damage: 95-295 >>> 85-285 (scaling unchanged)
- W Cooldown: 20-12 >>> 24-12
- W Mana: 65 >>> 80
Apparently, the nerfs from the last patch weren’t enough. So, Riot is nerfing him again in this patch.
Release Date
The aforementioned nerfs will hit live servers on Patch 13.23, which is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
