The next update for League of Legends Patch 13.22 is coming with mostly nerfs and adjustments.
As we go approach January, League of Legends is almost at the end of Season 13. Worlds 2023 going into the last stage of the tournament signifies the end of this year as well. All in all, League of Legends is going to get a ton of changes and has already gotten some.
Patch 13.21 came out with some massive changes, like the Seraphine, Brand, and Zyra changes. Alongside those, Riot also put in multiple buffs and nerfs. Going along with that trend, it seems Riot is moving towards more nerfs and adjustments once more.
Thus, Patch 13.22 is following that trend as it will have more nerfs than buffs once more. Also, there are multiple adjustments coming in as well. With that said, we finally have our hands on the Patch Preview.
There are some interesting changes coming with Riot updating the Mage Basic Attack system. Also, there are a lot of nerfs and some major champion adjustments coming. The only omission is the lack of changes to items, which signifies Riot is working on the preseason on that front. Thus, here is what we are getting in Patch 13.22.

Release Date
League of Legends Patch 13.22 is expected to be released on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Here is a breakdown of all the buffs, nerfs, and adjustments in Patch 13.22.
Champion Buffs
There are only two actual buffs coming in Patch 13.22. However, The biggest one is the mage basic attack changes. These are designed to change Attack windup, speed, missile speed and scaling. Meanwhile, Dr. Mundo and Rammus are also getting changes. That said, here are all the changes.
Note: For Organizational reasons all the Mage Basic Attack Changes Are Listed Individually.
Ahri
For Ahri, she is getting the Attack Speed increase with a small Attack windup reduction.
- Attack Speed Ratio: 0.668 >>> 0.625.
- Attack Speed Growth: 2% >>> 2.2%.
- Attack windup: 20.0535% >>> 20.0% (1/40th of a frame, still 10 frames base).
Anivia
A small Base Attack Speed Buff is coming for Anivia.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
Annie
Riot is increasing Annie’s base attack speed while alos increase the overall speed of her auto attacks.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.579 >>> 0.61.
- Attack Speed Ratio: 0.579 >>> 0.625.
- Attack Missile Speed: 1200 >>> 1500 (max range: 19 frames >>> 16 frames).
Cassiopeia
A slight Missile Speed change is coming as Riot does not want to buff Cassiopeia too much as she does have an auto attack replacement.
- Attack Missile Speed: 1200 >>> 1500 (max range: 18 frames >>> 14 frames).
Dr. Mundo
The Mundo changes in Patch 13.21 were a little too much, so Riot is going to be reverting that a tad.
- E – Blunt Force Trauma:
- Bonus Attack Damage: 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 Maximum Health >>> 2/2.35/2.70/3.05/3.4 Maximum Health.
Heimerdinger
With these changes Riot is putting in, Heimerdinger’s auto attacks should feel slightly better.
- Attack Speed base: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
- Attack Windup: 20.078125% >>> 20.0% (1/25th of a frame, still 10 frames base).
Ivern
Attacks will now be a little faster with the frames getting decreasing for the windup.
- Attack Windup: 23% >>> 20% (11 frames base >>> 10 frames base)
Karthus
Similar to Cassiopeia buffs, the attack missile speed is slightly increasing.
- Attack Missile Speed: 1200 >>> 1500 (max range: 15 frames >>> 12 frames)
Leblanc
A few changes are coming to Leblanc, as her overall attack speed stats are increasing.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658
- Attack Speed Ratio: 0.4 >>> 0.625
- Attack Speed Growth: 2.2% >>> 1.5%
Lissandra
Just better Attack Speed Scaling for Lissandra.
- Attack Speed Growth: 1.36% >>> 1.5%
Neeko
Just a slightly faster Attack Windup for Neeko.
- Attack Windup: 21.48387% >>> 20% (11 frames base –> 10 frames base)
Orianna
Missile Speed is going slightly higher for Orianna as they are already fairly high.
- Attack Missile Speed: 1450 >>> 1500
Rammus
Similar to Dr. Mundo, the nerfs were a bit too much. So, Riot is reverting a bit of that.
- W – Defensive Ball Curl:
- Bonus Armor: 30 (+35/45/55/65/75% total armor) >>> 40 (+35/45/55/65/75% total armor).
Rumble
With how Rumble operates, his attack windups are changing. Crit windups are faster while Attack windups are slower.
- Attack Windup: 22.916667% >>> 29%.
- Crit Attack Windup: 22.916667% >>> 20%.
Singed
Overall Attack Speed is getting faster and better for Singed.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.613 >>> 0.625.
- Attack Speed Ratio: 0.613 >>> 0.625.
- Attack Windup: 23.614873% >>> 20% (12 frames base –> 10 frames base).
Syndra
A pretty significant Attack Speed buff is coming for Syndra.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
Taliyah
Similar to the Syndra change, Taliyah is getting the same treatment.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
Teemo
Faster Missile Speed and Windup for Teemo for some auto attack satisfaction.
- Attack Windup: 21.57434% >>> 20% (10 frames base >>> 9 frames base).
- Attack Missile Speed: 1300 >>> 1500 (max range: 15 frames >>> 13 frames).
Twisted Fate
Faster Windup means better auto attack for Twisted Fate.
- Attack Windup: 24.403562% >>> 20% (12 frames base >>> 10 frames base).
Veigar
Missile Speed is increasing for Veigar attacks to not feel that slow.
- Attack Missile Speed: 1100 >>> 1500 (max range: 19 frames >>> 14 frames).
Vel’Koz
Base Attack Speed and scaling is increasing so these are some nice changes for Vel’Koz.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.643.
- Attack Speed Growth: 1.36% >>> 1.59%.
Xerath
With the Base Attack Speed increasing alongside the windup, this should help Xerath quite a bit for a little faster proc on his Passive.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
- Attack Windup: 25.074% >>> 20% (13 frames base >>> 10 frames base).
Zilean
This makes Zilean feel slightly better to play with and his auto attacks not feeling terrible.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
- Attack Missile Speed: 1200 >>>1500 (max range: 18 frames –> 14 frames).
Zoe
A small Attack Speed buff is a decent change for Zoe.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.625 >>> 0.658.
Champion Nerfs
Seven nerfs are coming, as there are some interesting additions. Briar makes it to the list once more, and Senna Tahm Kench is getting the axe as well. With more on the list, here are all of them.
Briar
Briar’s damage numbers are going down once more because players are getting more used to playing her. These changes are aimed at making Briar more fighter-oriented.
- Q – Head Rush:
- Damage: 60/100/140/180/220 (+ 80% Bonus AD) >>> 60/95/130/165/200 (+ 80% Bonus AD).
- Armor Reduction Applied: 10/14/18/22/26% >>> 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%.
- R – Certain Death:
- Damage: 150/325/500 (+ 110% Bonus AD)(+ 110% AP) >>> 150/300/450 (+ 75% Bonus AD)(+ 110% AP).
Graves
His True Grit is taking an armor hit to make Graves less tanky.
- E – Quickdraw:
- True Grit Bonus Armor: 4/7/10/13/16 >>> 2/5/8/11/14.
Kassadin
With the changes from Patch 13.20, scaling champions got indirect buffs. Kassadin, along with other champions, fit the bill, so there are some nerfs coming.
- E – Force Pulse:
- Damage: 60/90/120/150/180 (+ 85% AP) >>> 60/90/120/150/180 (+ 80% AP).
- R – Riftwalk:
- Damage: 70/90/110 (+ 60% AP) >>> 70/90/110 (+ 50% AP).
Nilah
Nilah has had problems in Solo Queue, so Riot is making some nerfs as she also got stronger after the Patch 13.20 changes.
- Q – Formless Blade:
- Bonus Attack Speed: 10 – 60% (based on level) >>> 10 – 50% (based on level).
- R – Apotheosis:
- Damage Over Time: 60/120/180 (+ 112% Bonus AD) >>> 60/120/180 (+ 80% Bonus AD).
- Maximum Total Damage: 185/345/505 (+ 232% Bonus AD) >>> 185/345/505 (+ 200% Bonus AD).
Senna
After Senna’s changes, along with the scaling updates, she is getting some nerfs. Also, this might also be a Worlds 2023 nerfs after the results Senna and Tahm Kench have gotten.
- Q – Piercing Darkness:
- Damage: 30/65/100/135/170 (+ 50% Bonus AD) >>> 30/60/90/120/150 (+ 50% Bonus AD).
- Healing: 40/55/70/85/100 (+ 30% Bonus AD) (+ 40% AP) (+ 1.6 per 1 Lethality) >>> 40/50/60/70/80 (+ 30% Bonus AD) (+ 40% AP) (+ 1.6 per 1 Lethality).
Tahm Kench
A bit of that buff is being reverted so his Bonus Health Ratio is reducing.
- Passive – An Acquired Taste:
- Bonus Health Ratio: 5% >>> 4%.
Ziggs
Ziggs bot lane has become a bit of a menace so the armor value is decreasing. Also, he does benefit a little from the Mages Auto Attack Changes but not enough for a solid buff.
- Base Stats:
- Armor: 22 >>> 18.
- Attack Windup: 20.833333% >>> 20% (half a frame, still 10 frames base).
Champion Adjustments
Four adjustments are coming, with Brand and Seraphine making another return. Gragas was added later into the patch. Here is what we know so far.
Brand
Riot is continuing down the path of buffing jungle for Brand alongside buffing his mid-lane presence. However, they will do it in such a way that Support Brand does not become stronger. Thus, his E is get a change to help with jungling and mid lane while keeping Support Brand weaker.
- E – Conflagration:
- Damage: 65/90/115/140/165 (+ 50% AP) >>> 60/90/120/150/180 (+ 60% AP).
Gragas
Some minor item changes are coming to Gragas to make it better and smoother to play him.
- E – Body Slam:
- Cooldown Refund: 3 seconds >>> 40% of Cooldown.
- R – Explosive Cask:
- Cask Travel Time: 0.55 seconds >>> 0.5 seconds.
Janna
There are so many changes coming for Janna. Riot is changing numbers across the board as they have deemed that her current kit is outdated. So, steering Janna back to being more W-oriented is what Riot’s plan is for now.
- Base Stats:
- AD Growth: 3>>>2.5.
- Armor Growth: 5>>>4.5.
- Attack Range: 500>>>550.
- Attack Windup: 22%>>>20%.
- Base Mana: 350>>>360.
- Base Mana Growth: 64>>>50.
- Base AD: 52>>>47.
- Health Growth: 84>>>90.
- Passive – Tailwind:
- Movement Speed Towards Allies: 6% >>> 0%.
- (New) Bonus Damage For Basic Attack and W: 20/25/30/35% Bonus Movement Speed (level 1/6/11/16).
- Q – Howling Gale:
- Minimum Damage: 60/85/110/135/160 (+ 35% AP) >>> 55/90/125/160/195 (+ 50% AP).
- Channel Damage: 45/60/75/90/105 (+ 30% AP) >>> 30/45/60/75/90 (+ 30% AP).
- Cooldown: 12 seconds >>> 14 seconds.
- Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 >>> 90/95/100/105/110.
- W – Zephyr:
- Passive Movement Speed: 0 on Cooldown >>> Always Active.
- Cooldown: 12 seconds >>> 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds.
- Mana Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 >>> 50/55/60/65/70.
- Damage: 80/110/140/170/200 (+ 60% AP) >>> 55/90/125/160/195 (+ 60% AP).
- Slow Duration: 3 seconds >>> 2 seconds.
- E – Eye of the Storm:
- No Longer Gains 15% Heal/Shield Power after applying Slows or Knockups.
- Refunds 20% of E’s Cooldown after applying Slows or Knockups From Her Other Abilities.
- Shield Duration: 5 seconds >>> 4 seconds.
- Shield Decay: Decays after 2.5 seconds >>> No Longer Decays.
- Shield Strength: 75/100/125/150/175 (+ 55% AP) >>> 80/115/150/185/220 (+ 55% AP).
- Cooldown: 15/13.5/12/10.5/9 seconds >>> 16/15/14/13/12 seconds.
- Mana Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 >>> 70/75/80/85/90.
Seraphine
Riot has said that the Seraphine changes will be about reverting some of those changes in Patch 13.21. A lot of it took power away from mid-lane, and Riot wants to put some back in.
- Passive – Stage Presence:
- Damage: 4/8/14/25 (+ 7% AP) >>> 5/10/18/30 (+ 5% AP).
- Q – High Note:
- Damage Amplification Threshold: 75% Missing Health >>> 85% Missing Health.
- W – Surround Sound:
- Shield: 50/75/100/125/150 (+ 25% AP) >>> 50/75/100/125/150 (+ 20% AP).
Skins
All the Heartsteel skins are coming, as Riot is releasing seven new skins. Yone is getting two new skins, while Kayn gets another Legendary skin. Here they all are.
