Respawn has teased us with the first look at the new Firing Range and Nemesis AR in the game in collaboration with SoaR Dazs.
Season 16 of Apex Legends is expected to be one of the most successful seasons of all time. Respawn is making changes to almost everything in the game, and the early patch notes from Respawn already gave us a glimpse of what to expect.
For starters, Respawn is completely remastering the Legend classes, which is apparently the biggest change in Apex Legends since its release. Alongside the Class overhaul, all Legends, current weapons, and attachments will undergo balance adjustments.
To spice things up even more, Respawn is introducing a new assault rifle called Nemesis AR to the game. The Firing Range is also getting upgrades with new features and quality-of-life improvements to make it easier for players to get used to all the upcoming changes.

New Firing Range and Nemesis AR First Look
Although Respawn has confirmed the Firing Range changes and the introduction of a Nemesis AR, much information is yet to be revealed officially. However, a content creator named SoaR Dazs revealed the first look at both Firing Range and Nemesis AR.
So without further ado, let’s get into the first look at the new Firing Range changes and Nemesis AR:
Firing Range Overhaul
Customize Range
In Season 16, players will be able to customize the Range by Holding the Tab button. Here, players can set Infinite Ammo and change the dummies’ movement. Players can also set the dummies to Crouch, Stand, Strafe, and more.
Moreover, players can set the armor for the dummies in front of them from the White to Red range. Apart from the dummies, players can set the targets to Zipline speed to practice tracking.
Dynamic Stats
When firing at the dummies, you will also now see an overlay of stats at the top of the screen. These include Shots fired, Damage dealt, Head Shots, Kills, and Accuracy as a percentage.
Hit Markers
New hit indicators appear and remain on screen for a few seconds after firing. These allow you to see the recoil pattern of each weapon, to help you master it. In addition, you can now turn friendly fire on or off.
Note: The Firing Range has undergone several alterations beyond those already described. Only these alterations are covered by the data we have at the moment.
Nemesis AR
Nemesis AR is the 29th weapon in the game. It is currently the 6th weapon to use Energy ammo. It fires 4-burst bullets each time; however, you don’t have to release the trigger to keep on firing. So, it is basically a full auto weapon.
The base weapon starts 20 rounds without a mag. And it reaches 32 rounds with a Purple Energy mag. Nemesis deals 17 damage to the body and 29 damage to the head without a helmet. Nemesis takes Barrel Stabilizers, Energy Mag, Standard Stock, and 1-4x Scope Attachments.
The gun has an energy meter that fills up as the weapon is fired, and the fire rate will increase relative to the charge. Each burst fired will add a 16.5% charge whether or not any targets are hit. After 5 seconds without being fired, the charge decreases by 15% per second.
Here’s an in-depth damage profile of Nemesis:
