Crypto’s heirloom animation has been revealed in a recent Apex Legends leak

We finally have a first look at Crypto’s heirloom animation thanks to a recent leak in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is an FPS battle royale game set in the same universe as the Titanfall franchise of video games. As it is a free-to-play title, purchasable cosmetic items play a major role in the game’s long-term health.

In Apex Legends, there are melee skins called heirlooms that are usually character-specific. Also, they are the most sought-after cosmetic item in the game mainly due to their low drop rate from the Apex packs.

Respawn usually launches a new heirloom alongside a collection event that comes with event-exclusive Apex packs. Purchasing all the Apex packs that come with the collection event guarantees an heirloom.

Over the years, Respawn has released a lot of heirlooms for different legends in the game. And according to the leaks, fan-favorite legend Crypto will receive his heirloom in the next collection event in the game.

Crypto’s heirloom with animation

Thordan Smash, a reliable leaker and Youtuber has revealed Crypto’s heirloom which is called “Jikdo” with proper animations. From the leaked clip, it seems like this was taken from a playtesting session.

The leaked video showcases the animation of the heirloom. As this is based on a weapon called Jikdow, it also has proper sheathing animation. It basically comes out of the sheath and folds in and out. Unsurprisingly, these small details give this heirloom a more authentic feel and it really matches Crypto based on his lore.
