The new Coven Syndra skin launch will be delayed to Patch 13.21.
Released in 2020, the Coven skin line is one of League of Legends‘ most popular skin line. Due to its Gothic and Dark theme, it was loved by fans. Thus, Riot brought back the skin line again in 2021. But since then, Riot hasn’t released any new skin in the Coven skin line.
That said, Riot recently announced that they would be bringing back the Coven skin line again in Patch 13.20. This year’s Coven 2023 skin line would come with seven new skins. The recipients of the seven new skins will be Akali, Elise, Nami, Nilah, Syndra, and Lastly, Mordekaiser. In addition, Akali will be receiving a Prestige skin from the same skin line.
The new Coven skins were well made, and players, for the most part, were very pleased with the new skins, apart from one skin, Coven Syndra. Players were pretty dissatisfied with the skin.
Firstly, most were expecting Syndra to receive a Legendary skin, and Coven seemed like the perfect skin line for a Legendary Syndra skin. Unfortunately, Nami was the recipient of the Legendary Skin. Not only that, players were dissatisfied with the base Model, VFX and SFX.
Thus, Riot has recently announced that they would be delaying the release of Coven Syndra to address the issues.

Coven Syndra Delayed
The exact reasoning behind the delay of Coven Syndra is unknown, but it is likely due to the massive outcry by the player base, especially Syndra mains.
According to the players, the current Syndra model does not align with any of the Coven skin in the skin line. It lacks the high-fashion aspect that the other Coven skin has, and it also lacks the critical Platinum Blonde hair. Her Orb VFX looked slightly off, and the SFX didn’t feel satisfying.
Overall, it felt like the skin needed a little more time to cook in the oven.
That said, Riot seemed to have heard all the player outcry and delayed the Coven Syndra to work on improving the skin. As for how much it will be improved, we will have to wait and watch.

Coven Syndra has been delayed to Patch 13.21, which will be released on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
