Riot has unveiled that Akali, Azir, Ivern, Kalista, Rek’Sai, Renekton and Twisted Fate are receiving massive buffs in the upcoming patch 13.11.
The upcoming patch will be the first major update after the release of the mid-season patch in League of Legends.
The mid-season patch, or patch 13.10, was the most significant update of this year. In this update, Riot reworked the entire mythic item system while also adjusting almost every item in the game. Moreover, they also added items like Statikk Shiv and Echoes of Helia.
They also adjusted many champions, mainly ADC, by giving them a slight AP ratio to synergize with the new items. But due to item changes, mainly the nerf towards Immortal Shieldbow, Kraken Slayer, and Prowler’s Claw made many champions unviable or far weaker than before.
While Riot did hotfix buff some of the unviable champions like Yasuo, Yone, and Kindred, there are many champions like Rek’Sai and Renekton who don’t have a good mythic alternative and are very weak in the current meta. Because of it, Riot will buff some of the fragile champions in the upcoming patch.
The official League of Legends Dev Team Twitter recently revealed all the upcoming changes of patch 13.11. they announced that Akali, Azir, Ivern, Kalista, Rek’Sai, Renekton and Twisted Fate would receive significant buffs in the upcoming patch 13.11.

Patch 13.11 Buffs
Akali Buffs
- Q Damage: 30-130 >>> 40-140
Meta has not been favoring Akali as recently. Since the beginning of this season, her win rate has been below 49%. But as AP champions were strong early this year, Akali didn’t get buffed earlier.
Akali has an abysmal 48.18% win rate and a mediocre 3.5% pick rate. Moreover, since non-Lost Chapter AP champions are currently weaker overall, now is the best time to give Akali a proper buff.
Azir Buffs
- Q Cooldown: 14-6 >>> 12-6
- W Damage: 50-118 + 0-92 + 55% AP >>> 60% AP
- W Summon Range: 500 >>> 525
Azir was once a very prominent pro-pick champion. However, due to his recent mini-rework, both his pick and win rates went down drastically. Moreover, even after his buff, he still wasn’t comparable to his previous iteration.
But now Riot will be buffing his Q and W. For his Q, the cooldown will be decreased. And for his W, both the damage and summon range will be increased. These both are very good buffs, as Azir can now properly harass the opponent laner in the early game.
Ivern Buffs
- Q Jump Logic Adjusted
- W On-hit Damage Applies to Allies
- Enemies in the brush revealed
- E refreshes if no enemies hit
Ivern was initially supposed to get a mini-rework. However, the mini-rework was more of a nerf to him than a buff. And the buffs he did get weren’t the kind of buffs the Ivern community wanted. Because of it, the mini-rework idea was delayed. But since Riot will add buff sharing in the upcoming patch, they will also give Ivern a massive buff as compensation.
Kalista Buffs
- Stats
- Base Health: 574 >>> 600
- Health Regen: 3.75 >>> 4
- Health Regen Growth: .55 >>> .75
- Attack Damage: 66 >>> 61
- Attack Damage Growth: 3.75 >>> 3.25
- Passive – Martial Poise
- Basic attacks no longer miss if a target leaves vision.
- Damage dealt on hit: 90% >>> 100% Total AD
- Functional base AD is within 1-2% at all levels
- Q – Pierce
- Total AD Ratio: 100% >>> 105%
- E – Rend
- Physical Damage per extra stack: 10-34 >>> 8-24
- Total AD Ratio per extra stack:
- 23.2%-40.6% >>>25%-45%
- Cooldown: 14-8 >>> 10-8
After the item rework, many champions became weaker than before, one of them being Kalista. While Riot did buff her by giving her an AP ratio in patch 13.10, it was useless. So in this patch, Riot will be buffing almost her entire kit to make on-hit builds viable on her.
Rek’Sai Buffs
- Passive max heal changed from 20 – 190 to 15 – 125 + 2%-12% max HP
- Tremor Sense tick rate reduced from 1.5 seconds to 1
- Burrowed Q reveal duration increased from 2.5 seconds to 5
- Unburrowed Q duration reduced from 5 seconds to 3
- Unburrowed Q cooldown reduced from 4 seconds flat to 4 – 2
Due to removing the dash on Prowler’s Claw, many champions became weaker. One of the victims of the nerf is Rek’Sai. Now that her lethality playstyle is unoptimized, Riot will adjust slightly. So now she will be more of a fighter/bruiser-type champion with this upcoming set of changes.
Renekton Buffs
- E Cooldown: 18-14s >>> 16-12s
- R Cooldown: 120>>> 120-80s
- R DPS: 50-150 >>> 60-180
Like Rek’Sai, removing the dash on Proweler’s Claw also made Renekton unviable. Even with the fighter item buffs, Renekton is part of the bottom 5 top laners in the meta. He only has a 47.25% win rate with a 2.5% pick rate. Because of it, Renekton will receive a massive buff in patch 13.11.
Twisted Fate Buffs
- W Cooldown: 8-6s >>> 6s
In the first patch of the season, Twisted Fate received a massive to his Q and W. But his win rate didn’t increase much, even with the buffs. However, after the item rework, he has become a mid-laner with one of the worst win rates. His win rate in the current patch is 48.09%, while his pick rate is 3%. Riot will be buffing him in the upcoming major update to give him a slight edge in the meta.
Release Date
All these buffs will hit live servers on patch 13.11, scheduled to be released on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
