After the release of the item reworks on patch 13.10, Riot has hotfix buffed Yasuo, Yone, and Kindred.

Usually, around the preseason period, Riot does a massive overhaul of the game. The changes could include mechanic overhaul, jungle changes, champion adjustments, new items, existing item reworks, etc. And besides preseason, Riot also makes huge changes during the mid-season patch.

Last season, Riot released the durability patch. In this update, they buffed every champion’s health, armor, and magic resist and adjusted other similar stats. Overall, the update was a success as it fixed many problems that appeared until then.

Riot announced a huge itemization rework for this year’s mid-season update or patch 13.10. This update aimed to fix many problems, mainly arriving from the mythic item system. Some of the problems were the lack of a proper mythic for many champions like Ezreal, Hecarim, Urgot, etc., and mythic items were a balance nightmare.

With this new update, Riot Games turned some legendary items into mythic while demoting some mythic into legendary ones. Moreover, they re-introduced Statikk Shiv and added a new mythic support item called Echoes of Helia.

But this update ended up creating many problems for many champions who relied on previously mythic items. Like many champions who were dependent on Immortal Shieldbow became very weak. Likewise, some champions, whose main mythic was Kraken Slayer, also became unviable.

For example, Yasuo and Yone relied heavily on Immortal Shieldbow for their early sustain, and Kindred needed Kraken for early reliable solo damage. But as these items are now nerfed, these champions are also struggling. Because of it, Riot hotfix buffed them in patch 13.10.

Patch 13.10 Hotfix Buffs

Yasuo Buffs

  • HP growth: 101 ⇒ 110
  • Passive shield: 100-575 ⇒ 125-600
  • W cooldown: 30/27/24/21/18 seconds ⇒ 25/23/21/19/17/15 seconds

Yone Buffs

  • Base Armor: 28 ⇒ 30
  • HP growth: 99 ⇒ 105
  • W cooldown: 16~6 seconds, scaling with bonus attack speed ⇒ 14~6 seconds, scaling with bonus attack speed
  • W shield: 35-55 (levels 1-18) (+55% bonus AD) ⇒ 45-65 (levels 1-18) (+65% bonus AD)

Kindred Buffs

  • HP growth: 99 ⇒ 104
  • AD growth: 2.5 ⇒ 3.25
  • E Crit Threshold: 15-65% target max health, scaling with crit chance ⇒ 25-75% target max health, scaling with crit chance

As both Yasuo and Yone relied on Immortal Shieldbow, Riot will be buffing their sustain. For Yasuo, as his primary defense mechanic is his wind wall, Riot will reduce its cooldown. Similarly, Yone’s main sustainability is his W’s shield. So his shield received a slight buff.

As for Kindred, even though she doesn’t need Immortal Shieldbow, her HP growth also received a buff, which is a neat update. But the main buffs are her AD growth and E crit threshold increase.

If this hotfix is not enough, we can expect Riot to do massive buffs to these champions in the subsequent patches.
