Ash, the new addition to the character roster of Apex Legends season 11, has already garnered quite a devoted fanbase, surpassing previous legends by quite a large margin.
At its core, Apex Legends is a hero shooter game that is set in the same universe as the Titanfall franchise of video games. And since this is a hero shooter, Respawn introduces new legends at the start of each new season.
In season 11, Respawn added Ash to the diverse character roster of Apex. Unsurprisingly, following her debut in the Apex games, the whole character meta in the game shifted in a new direction.

Ash Takes the Top Spot
It turns out that Ash is instrumental and, with the right team combination, can be lethal in all skill buckets. While her tactical ability, Arc Snare, can be used both offensively and defensively to deny the area or stop the third party from pushing her ultimate Phase Breach provides even more utility by giving you and your teammates a one-way portal to disengage from a fight.
So, it came as no big surprise that after her launch, her pick rate among the player base skyrocketed. And she has finally suppressed both Octane and Wraith in terms of pure pick rate. Meaning in the current state of the game, she is the most sought-after legend.
Apex Legends Character Pick Rate 11/9/2021
Right now, Ash’s pick rate is hovering around at the 18% mark. The second most picked agent in the current state is Octane, who is closely followed by Wraith. Both of them enjoy a similar pick rate in the game.
On the other side of the aisle, despite receiving a solid rework with the Evolution collection event, Rampart is the least popular character in the game. Even Seer, who was released back in season 10 and received multiple nerfs, has fallen out of favor from the community.
All in all, Respawn is always on the lookout to spice things up in the gameplay department. Suffice it to say that, they succeeded in their job. Each new seasonal agent addition has been truly meta-shifting.

Although some are suggesting that Ash’s passive could use a little nerf to be more balanced in the current state of the game. Respawn is yet to announce anything on that front.
