Riot Games to nerf Vladimir, Dr. Mundo, Gragas, Heimerdinger, and Garen in League of Legends patch 11.9.

League of Legends Gameplay Design Director Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has previewed the 2021 MSI Patch 11.9 today. And it seems they are nerfing some of the meta champions like Vladimir, Dr. Mundo, Gragas, Heimerdinger, and Garen in the upcoming patch. In addition to that, Hecarim, Morgana, and Diana are set to get major nerfs as well.

Vladimir Nerf Patch 11.9

  • Q:
    • Cooldown: 9/7.75/6.5/5.25/4 >>> 9/7.9/6.8/5.7/4.6

After not getting any kind of buffs or nerfs since season 8, Riot Games finally decided to buff some of his kit in Season 11. In patch 11.3, they reduced his ultimate cooldown, and later in patch 11.8 decreased his Q cooldown.

And just with those buffs, Vladimir is currently sitting at a 53.8% win rate in Plat+ ELO, where he has an 8.2% pick rate and a 9.8% ban rate. Therefore, ahead of the MSI, Riot is nerfing some of his kit in patch 11.9.

Dr. Mundo Nerf Patch 11.9

  • Base stats:
    • Armor/lvl: 3.5 >>> 3
    • AD/lvl: 3.5 >>> 3

In the recent patch, Riot made some major changes to Dr. Mundo’s kit. They nerfed his Q and E damage while increasing his passive regeneration. Moreover, he also received some notable changes in the Patch 11.1 and 11.2 as well. And apparently, it seems, Riot is planning to nerf him once again in the upcoming patch 11.9.

Gragas Nerf Patch 11.9

  • E:
    • Damage: 80-240 >>> 80-220

Even though Gragas is suffering in the solo queue, he has a strong presence in the pro games. In 2021, he had a 47.8% presence across all major regions with a 51.6% win rate. And ahead of the MSI, Riot is gutting some of his kit in patch 11.9.

Heimerdinger Nerf Patch 11.9

  • W:
    • Damage: 50-170 >>> 50-150 (Max damage: 90-306 >>> 90-270)

It’s a bit shocking that Riot is actually nerfing Heimerdinger in patch 11.9. Even though he has a 51.11% win rate, he only has a 0.7% pick rate in the solo queue. His presence in the pro games is pretty non-existent as well.

Garen Nerf Patch 11.9

  • W:
    • AR/MR per stack: 0.25 >>> 0.2 Max Resists Unchanged (Minions needed for max: 120 >>> 150)

Garen is one of the strongest Top laners in League of Legends at this moment. Currently, in patch 11.8, he has a massive 52.29% win rate and 6.5% pick rate. Therefore, Riot is taking away some of his strength in patch 11.9.

Jinx Bug Fix Nerf Patch 11.9

  • Rockets crit for 200% >>> 175% to splash targets.
