The most anticipated VALORANT Fracture rework is finally happening, and we already have a glimpse of what it may look like.

Riot Games added Fracture in Episode 3 Act 2 of VALORANT. It was released in the 3.05 Patch on September 8, 2021. Players were pretty excited about getting their 7th official map in the game.

However, players weren’t thrilled with the new map. Fracture has an unconventional map layout compared to what players are used to. Additionally, the lack of neutral space in Fracture made it more confusing for players.

Also, Attackers can control the map too much during the Warmup duration. As a result, defending both sites sometimes gets overwhelming for the Defenders in most rounds. So Riot Games have been planning to change a few things in Fracture for a while.

Fracture Rework First Look

A recent video leaked by floxay showed what VALORANT has been up to with the Fracture map in the 5.07 PBE build. However, the map was unavailable for the testers, so the map may still be not completed, and Riot may make more changes to the map before it becomes officially live.

As they promised earlier, Riot is mainly changing the A area. The A Rope, A Drop, and A Dish areas have been modified significantly. They also made slight changes to B Site and B Bench locations. Overall, they made the map more vibrant and removed several darker areas from the map. In any case, let’s see a glimpse of what the new Fracture rework looks like.

Fracture Rework Release Date

According to floxxay, the Fracture map is present in the 5.07 PBE, but it is still unavailable to players, which may only mean that Fracture rework is not coming to the 5.07 Patch. However, the map looks completely ready to go.

So, the reworked Fracture map may come to the 5.08 Patch, which is set to go live on October 18, 2022. Also, remember that Riot Games tend to modify content and scrap ideas as the Act progresses. So things might be different with the actual release. So, take it with a grain of salt.
