Tyson Van Ngo, also known by his online moniker TenZ, has decided to step down from professional VALORANT.

Professional VALORANT player and content creator TenZ is quite famous among the tactical first-person shooter player base. With his exceptional shooting mechanics and pretty laid-back personality, TenZ has managed to garner a massive followership over the years.

While starting his professional gaming career with Cloud 9’s Counter-Strike roster, Tenz failed to make any major impact during his CS days. His real calling came as Riot Games decided to enter the tactical shooter market with VALORANT back in 2020.

At first, he joined the Cloud 9’s VALORANT roster. Despite performing well on an individual level, the team as a whole couldn’t manage to deliver any real trophies. As such, Tenz decided to leave the competitive VALORANT scene back in 2021 and continue as a content creator for Cloud 9.

Fortunately, his retirement didn’t last long as he returned to professional VALORANT as a temporary replacement for Sinatraa in Sentinel’s VALORANT roster. In Sentinel, everything finally clicked for this Canadian VALORANT player as together with a solid roster Sentinel won the first-ever LAN tournament.

TenZ Retires From Pro VALORANT

Despite winning two major trophies for Sentinel, TenZ has decided to step down from professional VALORANT, as he feels it takes away a lot of his time to do more variety streams. Thus, fans won’t be able to see him wear the red and black jersey to represent Sentinel on the big stage.
