Rebel Wolves has confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch with a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. The option will arrive through the game’s launch patch on September 3, giving console players a higher frame rate choice from day one.
The confirmation follows significant feedback from fans after the studio previously discussed its console performance targets. However, Rebel Wolves clarified that Performance Mode was already in development and was simply not ready to be officially promised until further testing was completed.

After seeing how important a higher frame rate was to players, the team focused on completing another round of testing. Those results were apparently strong enough for Rebel Wolves to officially confirm Performance Mode for launch.
The 60 FPS mode was not suddenly created because of the backlash. Fan feedback instead appears to have encouraged the studio to prioritize testing and confirm the feature sooner.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled to release on September 3, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC. Rebel Wolves describes the game as an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe, starring Coen, a protagonist who is human during the day and a vampire at night.
With 60 FPS now confirmed for the more powerful consoles on day one, one of the biggest concerns surrounding the console versions has been addressed before launch.
