Akshan, Graves, Miss Fortune, Quinn, and Karthus are getting some notable nerfs on League of Legends patch 11.21.
As the Worlds patch is concluded and we are getting closer and closer to the 2022 preseason, Riot is back to the normal patch changes rather than balancing the game surrounding pro games.
The last patch was all about adjusting for soloq. And now League of Legends’ Designer on the Summoner’s Rift team, Riot Phlox has confirmed that the upcoming patch 11.21 will also be focusing on the soloq.
“We’ve got some more soloq champ tweaks and a few interesting system changes which should shake stuff up,” Riot Phlox on patch 11.21 changes.
According to Riot Phlox, on patch 11.21, Riot is going to nerf five dominant soloq champions — Akshan, Graves, Miss Fortune, Quinn, and Karthus. Here’s everything you need to know.
Akshan Nerf Patch 11.21

Akshan had a bit of a rough debut in League of Legends. After day 1 of his release, he only had a 34% win rate. Resulting in Riot to hotfix buff him twice in a single patch.
As his state didn’t improve that much after those buffs, Riot gave him major adjustments on patch 11.17. They fixed multiple bugs while changing his E and ultimate. And after that change, his win rate in soloq increased quite significantly.
Currently, on patch 11.20, Akshan has a massive 52.13% win rate in Plat+ Elo while having a 25.9% ban rate. Therefore, Riot is taking away some of his strength in patch 11.21.
Graves Nerf Patch 11.21

Graves is having great success in both the soloq and pro games in the last few patches. He is currently being played in both Top and Jungle while having positive results. Fleet Footwork paring with Immortal Shieldbow is giving him insane sustain and with Youmuu’s Ghostblade he is pretty much dominating the jungle once again.
Miss Fortune Nerf Patch 11.21

Miss Fortune is the only ADC who is getting nerfs on patch 11.21 but for a good reason. Taking Arcane Comet and starting with E, she pretty much wins against every other ADCs at the early game. But that’s doesn’t mean she become weak late.
Building Eclipse > Youmuu’s Ghostblade, she is pretty much shredding every champion in the game with her ultimate. Besides, she also has a 51.64% win rate in soloq while having a 26.7% pick rate and a 13.4% ban rate.
Quinn Nerf Patch 11.21

Quinn’s state is a bit different. Even though she doesn’t have any kind of fancy pick rates — 1.4% to be more precise, she has a massive 53.05% win rate in Plat+ Elo. Therefore, she is getting the Aurelion Sol treatment on patch 11.21.
Karthus Nerf Patch 11.21

Similar to Quinn, Karthus is also getting nerfs on patch 11.21 for having more than a 53% win rate at Bot lane.
