Earlier this year, Riot announced a Visual Update for one of the most popular champions, Ahri. Riot has ‘accidentally’ leaked the first glimpse of the rework.
Riot is doing a great job of reviving older champions in 2022. Swain, Taliyah, Olaf, Janna, and Ahri all got mini reworks this year. The rework has been quite successful and bought the champions back into the meta. These champions needed a bit of a polish to be viable in the modern League of Legends.
Even though Ahri is quite a popular pick after her rework, Riot announced that she would get a visual update sometime this year. This will make it even more fun to play Ahri. And as Ahri is one of the most popular champions in the League, it is undoubtedly a priority for Riot to complete the visual update quickly.
Ahri ASU Rework Leaked
Riot is celebrating Pride month with some new emotes and icons. They also release a trailer for pride month, showing different items players can get to celebrate Pride month across all of Riot’s titles. But near the end of the video, the whole KDA crew can be seen running off in different directions.
Though you can only see her for a couple of seconds, it is clear that the animations look different from the current Ahri. As the rework is still in work, fans hope that the final animations will be even better than this video.
Terty, one of the first people to notice the difference in Ahri, posted a video on Youtube about it. The video shows a side-by-side comparison of the two models, and you can clearly see the difference.

Release Date
Ahri’s visual update seems almost ready, and as it has already been leaked, it should not take that long for the ASU to be released. Ahri’s ASU could come out with the Star Guardian Event in Patch 12.13 on July 13, 2022.
