The release date for the Upcoming champion “Briar” has not been delayed.
Earlier in the year, Riot released the roadmap for League of Legends season 13. In the roadmap, Riot revealed some of the upcoming content coming to the game. They showed off an upcoming game mode called the 2v2v2v2 game mode, announced a massive summer event, and, most importantly, teased the upcoming champions.
They revealed that four new champions are in the works and are scheduled to be released down the line. These four champions were an Ixtali enchanter, a Darkin assassin, a Vampire Jungler, and lastly, an Ionian Ink Mage.
Of the four champions, the Ixtali enchanter, Milio, The Gentle Flame has already been released in Patch 13.6. The next champion, Naafiri: The Hound of a Hundred Bites, is now in the PBE servers and will be released in Patch 13.14 shortly.
However, the release date for the Vampire Jungler Briar and the Ionian Ink Mage has yet to be revealed. But, the release window of these champions still remains within 2023. That said, it takes a considerable amount of time to polish and release a new champion, and players are concerned if Riot would be able to deliver them on time.
But fret not, as Riot has recently come out and addressed these concerns.
