Let’s take a look at Briar, the next Jungle champion to arrive in League of Legends.
League of Legends is one of the, if not the most popular, game on the market. The game was released back in 2008 and since then has garnered millions of players all over the world. The reason for its massive popularity is the massive roster of champions. Each of the champions in the game has a unique set of skills and play styles that add variation to the game.
Currently, the game has over 160 champions. They are also planning or release more champions in 2023. In March of this year, we got Milio, the first champion of the year. Milio, The Gentle Flame, is a support champion from the region of Ixtal that uses soothing fire to heal and help people in need.
Next in line, we have the Drakin assassin Naafiri. She will be the first monster champion of the year and will resemble a canine-like dog or a wolf. Riot also teased that she might have multiple bodies, or we might be able to control a pack of wolves while playing as her. Other than that, there’s not much information about Naafiri.
After the release of Naafiri, Riot will release the vampire champion, Briar.

The Vampire, Briar
Riot first revealed Briar in their Season 2023 | LoL Pls video. In it, they showed off a Castlevania-esque castle and described Briar as “Hangry Jungler.” Riot also revealed that she was from the region of Noxus, although anyone would’ve guessed that just by looking at the castle’s architecture.
Furthermore, Briar will be the first Vampire champion to be added to the game, as Vladimir is classified as a Hemomancer rather than a true Vampire. Riot also made multiple references to frenzies, bloodlust, and uncontrollable hunger. So, we can expect a new Frenzy mechanic to come with Briar.
Release Date
The release date for Briar has not been revealed yet, but she will be coming sometime after the launch of Naafiri.
