Riot has finally revealed the upcoming Darkin champion, Naafiri.
Season 13 is finally upon us. And Riot has finally revealed everything that would be coming in the upcoming season.
First and foremost, we will see a balanced version of most additions released in preseason 2023. Meaning that the Chemtech Drake, all the jungle changes, and new items will be released more balanced than they were in the preseason.
As for new content, this season, we will finally see the release of the long-awaited Ahri ASU. Furthermore, we will also see the Aurelion Sol CGU release in the subsequent patches. And as for new champions, Riot has announced four champions; they already teased two earlier in 2022. These two champions are Milio and Naafiri.
Naafiri is the Darkin Assassin; Riot teased her in the preseason 2023 roadmap in August 2022. Darkins are a species of monster champions in League of Legends who have high omnivamp and lifesteal. There are currently three Darkins in League of Legends, Varus, Aatrox, and Rhaast (Red Kayn). In terms of lore, they were Ascended of Shurima, similar to Azir, but were corrupted by Blood Magic. Furthermore, they are trapped in their weapon. And the only way they can escape is by having a live vessel.

Naafiri Revealed
Naafiri will be a mid-lane assassin. Furthermore, Riot Lexical confirmed that she would be focused on macro-play. Meaning that her kit will be straightforward. Moreover, Riot will make her abilities more suitable for fights.
From the leaks, she will be a canine, like a dog or a wolf. And from what Riot shared in the season 2023 video, she might have multiple bodies, or we might be able to control a pack of wolves; we can’t be sure for now. But we can be sure that she will have high amounts of omnivamp or healing capabilities.
Release Date
Although Riot didn’t reveal any exact release date, Naafiri will release after Milio, the Ixtali Enchanter.
