Jax’s upcoming visual rework might have been leaked.
League of Legends was released back in 2008, making the game over a decade old. Over its decade, the game has introduced many new champions, and currently, it has over 160 champions. That said, many of these champions were released a long time ago and are in need of updates.
This is when the phrase “Rework” comes into play. Riot takes older champions and upgrades them to meet the game’s current standards. These changes are referred to as “Reworks” in League terminology.
Reworks can take numerous forms, ranging from minor tweaks to full-fledged Visual Gameplay Updates or VGU. But the latest form of this rework is the ASU, or Art and Sustainability Update, and the latest champion in line to receive an ASU is Jax.
The Jax Visual Update was announced earlier this year, along with the Lee Sin and Teemo ASUs. As the name suggests, the update will mostly change his models and animations, similar to the previous Caitlyn ASU.
It has been a few months since Riot announced the Jax ASU, and there has not been much information about it. But recently, new information about the upcoming ASU has emerged.

Riot Games has recently introduced a new game mode called “Arena.” It is a 2v2 game mode featuring features of TFT and League of Legends. It is a lot of fun, and the players seem to like it.
For the promotion of the “Arena” mode, Riot released a China-exclusive promotional video. In the video, Riot accidentally showed off the upcoming Jax ASU. At first glance, it appears to be extremely similar to the concept art Riot displayed a few months ago. The model is very clean and appears to be a modern champion rather than what we currently have.
As for the release date, we do not have an exact date, but judging by the look, we won’t have to wait long.
