Riot plans to nerf Kalista and Aphelios once again on patch 10.13 while buffing Lucian.
Riot has been deeply focusing on the ADC for the last couple of patches. ADCs might not have been in a good spot at the start of Season 10, but after coming into Riot’s attention they received several changes. Including patch 10.11 buff where they tried to bring back, AD carries long lost carry potential.
According to League of Legends’ lead gameplay designer Mark “Scruffy” Yetter it seems like, on patch 10.13, Riot is planning to nerf Kalista and Aphelios, while buffing the worst ADC, Lucian.
After the patch 10.11 buff, a bunch of ADCs finally found their way into League of Legends while few of them are still struggling. Varus and Ezreal are one of the champions who became a must pick or ban, thus Varus got nerf in 10.12 while Ezreal is yet to receive any buff or nerf.
Some ADCs’ win rate may not be as high in the solo queue but their presence in the pro play is enormous. Kalista and Aphelios are one of them. Although both of their win rates are below 50%, Aphelios has a higher pick and win rate in the Master+ Elo where Kalista is just straight up dominating pro games. Thus, they are both receiving nerfs in patch 10.13.
On the other hand, Lucian’s win rate dropped significantly after that patch 10.11 buff, making him the worst ADC at this moment.
