With patch 10.11 buffs, ADCs will regain their long-lost carry potential.

Until now, Season 10 has been all about Top Lane and Jungle changes. Many players have been complaining in different League of Legends communities that they feel ADCs are left behind by Riot Games and how bad the current situation on ADC is in the Summoner’s Rift. Things got worse when they decreased the damage ranged champions do to tower plates in patch 10.5 and tried to “rebalance the ADC meta” in patch 10.8.

But, soon after that, Riot Games realized they had nerfed ADCs, saying, “Bot carry power has decreased slightly this season, so we wanted to put a small amount of power back into the role.”

And League of Legends’ lead gameplay designer, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, revealed their plans regarding the ADC buff, which will hit the live servers on patch 10.11.

Base HP Change:

Aphelios, Ashe, Caitlyn, Draven, Ezreal, Jhin, Jinx, Kai’Sa, Kog’Maw, Miss Fortune, Sivir, Twitch, Varus, and Xayah are getting +30 HP buff and +2 HP per level. This might not seem much, but it will help them in the laning phase.

Scaling Buffs:

Lucian: Passive second auto crit damage bonus 75% >>> 100%

Kalista: W: Passive damage 10-18 > 14-18% max HP, Mana cost 20 >>> 0

Tristana: Attack speed ratio 0.656 > 0.679

Vayne: Q: Bonus AD 50-70% > 60-80%

Lucian, Kalista, Tristana, and Vayne will be getting scaling buffs in patch 10.11. Besides Lucian, the rest of them are considered as late-game carries, and giving them more late-game carry potential is not a bad idea from Riot.

Although Tristana got buffed in 10.8, she currently has the lowest win rate among any ADCs. Many believe Tris gets a power spike after getting three items, so considering this, giving her a scaling buff will boost her carry potential even more. Vayne and Kalista are also going to benefit from this scaling buff as well.

Other Changes:

  • Zeal Movement Speed: 5% > 7%
  • Phantom Dancer Movement Speed: 7% > 9%
  • Rapid Fire Cannon Movement Speed: 5% > 7%
  • Statikk Shiv Movement Speed: 5% > 7%
  • Runaan’s Hurricane Movement Speed: 5% > 7%

Kai’sa Buff:

  • Q: 0.35 bonus attack damage ⇒ 0.4 bonus attack damage
  • Range: 1500/2000/2500 ⇒ 1500/2250/3000

Besides getting Base HP buff, Riot is also planning to give Kai’sa some of her power back in patch 10.11.

Will ADCs regain their carry potential?

Some champions like Ezreal and Aphelios have already been dominating the bot lane with an astonishing 43% and 18% pick rate in ranked games. Most of the ADCs are also hovering around a 50% win rate, considered an average win rate in League of Legends.

But, with the nerf of assassins like Talon in patch 10.11, Katarina and Diana in patch 10.10, and nerfing the whole Mid role in patch 10.12, ADCs are most certainly going to rule the summoner rift once again with all these new buffs.
