Riot is planning some big ADC nerfs for Patch 13.6.

The League of Legends Patch 13.6 preview is finally out; from the looks of it, we are in for a big shift in the meta.

First, we are getting a new champion in this patch, Milio, The Gentle Flame. Along with him comes the much anticipated Fairy Court skin line. The skin line will include new skins for seven champions: KarmaEzrealFioraKalistaKatarina, and Milio. Additionally, Katarina will get a Prestige version of her Faerie Court Skin.

We are also getting some massive balance changes in this patch. Riot is buffing champions like Talon, Galio, and Vayne and nerfing Aurelion Sol, Zeri, and Yuumi.

Additionally, Riot is finally nerfing Bot lane’s impact in the game. Bot lane has been one of the most impactful roles in the game since the Preseason 2023 changes. Currently, whichever Bot lane wins lane usually gets the dragons and wins the game. Riot is changing that by nerfing Dragons and Marksmen Itemization.

In this article, we will go into more detail about the nerfs coming in Patch 13.6.

Riot Phroxzon, the Lead Designer of the League Balance Team, recently shared the change list for the upcoming patch on his Twitter page.

Patch 13.6 Nerfs

Here are all the nerfs coming to Patch 13.6,

Champion Nerfs

Aurelion Sol

  • E CD: 12-10 >>> 12 R2 Cast Range: 1250 >>> 1100
  • Stardust required for R2: 75 >>> 100
  • R1 Stun Duration: 1.25 >>>1
  • R2 Knockup Duration: 1.25 >>> 1
  • R1 Cast Range: 1250 >>> 1100
  • R2 Cast Range: 1250 >>> 1100

Despite multiple nerfs across the last few patches, Aurelion Sol remains too strong. He currently has the highest ban rate of all champions in Solo-Queue at 57%. He also has a respectable 51% win rate and a 9.5% pick rate, which is very good for a champion with such high skill requirements. So he is getting nerfed once again in this patch.

Veigar

  • Base HP: 575 >>> 550
  • Base AR: 21 >>> 18
  • W Damage: 100-300 >>> 85-305

Veigar, as a champion, has always been frustrating to play against. His infinite Ability, Power scaling, good Crowd Control, and fantastic Zone control make him a pretty strong pick in most situations. But the Veigar range buffs on Patch 13.4 have made him even stronger. Thus Riot is nerfing Veigar in this patch.

Yuumi

  • Q Cooldown: 7.5-6.25 >>> 6.5
  • Q Mana cost: 50-75 >>> 50-100
  • Q Range/Speed reduced
  • R Bonus: 20-60 Resists >>> Removed

The Yuumi rework might have solved some of the issues she had pre-rework, but it also created some new problems. The rework turned her into a mini artillery mage, as her Q – Prowling Projectile can hit enemies from a screen away. Riot, this patch is taking a look at her Q hitbox and making it easier to dodge.

Zeri

It seems Riot have pulled the direct Zere nerfs from the patch, but she is getting indirect nerfs with the Item and Yuumi nerfs.

System Nerfs

Dragon

  • Hextech Drake:
  • Ability haste and attack speed reduced from 9% – 36% to 7.5% – 30%
  • Infernal Drake:
    • Bonus adaptive force reduced from 6% – 24% to 5% – 20%
  • Mountain Drake:
    • Armor and magic resist reduced from 9% – 36% to 8% – 32%
  • Ocean Drake:
    • Health regeneration reduced from 3% – 12% missing HP to 2.5% – 10%
  • Chemtech and Cloud drake remain unchanged.

One of Riot’s main goals for this patch is to lessen the massive impact that bot lane has on the game. The first step to achieve that is to nerf dragons.

Dragons have been massively buffed during the Preseason 2023, to the point whoever has all four dragons, AKA dragon soul, usually wins the game. Since the bot lane is the closest to the dragon pit, the winning bot lane team usually gets all the dragons, making it hard to win through the top side of the map. Thus Riot is nerfing dragons to increase the impact the other roles have.

Bloodthirster

  • Shield: 180-450 (level 9-18) >>> 100-400 (level 8-18)

Although Riot has nerfed or removed sustain from the Fighter itemization, the sustain on Marksmen itemization wasn’t hit at all. Marksmen sustain items such as Bloodthirster were buffed instead. Marksmen have been abusing such buffs for the last couple of patches.

Navori Quickblades

  • Cooldown refund: 15% >>> 12%

Navori Quickblades has always been a strong item on most champions that can utilize Critical Chance. But with the recent buffs, the item seems a tad too strong. So Riot is nerfing it.

Lethal Tempo

  • Ranged attack speed: 30-54% (maxes at level 12) >>> 24-54% (maxes at level 18)

Lethal Tempo is single-handedly one of the strong Keystones in the game. It provides damage in the form of attack speed, uncapped the attack speed limit, and also increases the attack range. So, it’s no surprise Riot is nerfing it.

Legend: Bloodline

  • Maximum Life steal: 6% >>> 5.25%
  • Max HP: 100 >>> 85

The Marksmen sustain rune is taking a hit in this patch, along with Legend: Bloodline.

Release Date

The aforementioned nerfs will be included in Patch 13.6, which will be released on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
