The massive Patch 13.3 changes are likely to shift the meta once again.

January has been a rough month for League of Legends and its developer, Riot Games. From the universally panned Season 2023 Cinematic “The Brink of Infinity” to the layoff of 46 Riot employees and very recently becoming a target of a massive cyber attack, it has been a disaster of a month for the company.

But they are looking to bounce back from all of it and give us the tried and true League experience, starting with Patch 13.3.

Patch 13.3 will be the follow-up patch to Patch 13.1B. Due to recent cyberattacks, we did not receive Patch 13.2. Thus Patch 13.1B was distributed in its place.

Therefore, Riot is shipping all the unshipped modifications, like the Ahri ASU, along with some new changes in the most recent patch. The new changes will include the Valentine-themed VI, Caitlyn & Amumu skins, and some much-needed Buffs and Nerfs.

In this article, we will focus on all the Nerfs coming to Patch 13.3.

Riot Phroxzon, the Lead Designer at the Summoner’s Rift team, recently revealed the upcoming changes for Patch 13.3 on his Twitter page.

LoL Patch 13.3 Nerfs

Here are all the nerfs coming to Patch 13.3,

Champion Nerfs

Amumu

  • Q Mana Cost: 40-60 >>> 45-65
  • E Damage: 80/110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+50% AP) >>> 65 / 100/135/170/205 (+50% AP)

Amumu, in his current state, feels like a low elo stomper. He currently has close to a 55% win rate below gold in the Jungle role, while in the Support role, he has a 54% win rate, making him one of the strongest champions in lower elo. So, Riot is electing to nerf Amumu in the next patch.

Kassadin

  • E cooldown refresh: 1 second >>> 0.75 seconds
  • E damage 80-180 >>> 60-180
  • R damage 80-120 >>> 70-110 (stacks also nerfed)

Even after the 13.1B nerfs, Kassadin remains too strong. So, Riot is nerfing again.

K’Sante

  • Q Knockup Duration: 1s >>> 0.65s -Q Stun Duration: 1-1.25s >>> 1s
  • W Min Stun: 0.35/0.45/0.55/0.65/0.75 >>> 0.3/0.35/0.4/0.45/0.5
  • R Resist Lost: 65% Bonus >>> 85% Bonus

K’Sante might not be the best champion in Solo-Queue, as he has only a 48% win rate, but he is tearing it up in Professional Play. His ability to deal damage by building Tank items, High mobility, and crowd control make him a viable asset to any team. Additionally, he is currently one of the most Pick/Banned Top laner in Professional Play.

So, it’s no surprise he is getting a hit on Patch 13.3.

Zac

  • W AP Ratio: 4% per 100 AP >>> 3% per 100 AP
  • E Damage: 60-260 (+90% AP) >>> 60-240 (+80% AP)

Zac might just be one of the, if not the strongest, champions in the game. He is currently viable in the Top Lane, Jungle, Mid Lane, and even as a support. Surprisingly, he has an above 52% win rate on all four lanes. Additionally, he has a 20% ban rate. To no one’s surprise, Zac is getting a nerf.

System Nerfs

Early Jungle Ganks

  • Treat Gold: 30s >>> 20s
  • XP From Large Monsters: 75 >>> 85
  • Stealth Ward Trinket CD: 240-120 >>> 210-120

Jungle has been in a disastrous state, starting with the introduction of the recent Jungle rework. Thanks to the exp nerf, farming Junglers have fallen off the meta, and ganking Junglers have emerged. Champions like Elise, Maokai, and Udyr can now non-stop gank starting from Level 3, sometimes even level 2, and make the game unwinnable for the opponent pre 10 minutes.

The problem has not only been prevalent in Solo-Queue but in Professional Play as well. So, Riot is toning down the power of early-game Jungle ganks.

Turret Damage

  • Tower Damage: 162-344 (0-14 minutes) >>> 182-350 (0-14 minutes)

Levels 3-4 turret dives have been a big problem ever since the Jungle meta shift. So, Riot is buffing turret damage in order to mitigate some of it.

Umbral Glaive

  • Cooldown: 40s >>> 50s
  • Ranged Damage to Wards: 3 >>> 2
  • No longer instakills traps

For an item costing only 2300 gold, Umbral Glaive provides a tad too much. Thus, Riot is toning down the item a little.

Release Date

The aforementioned nerfs will be included in Patch 13.3, which is to be released on Wednesday, Feb 8, 2023
