Apex Legends is turning up the chaos again with the new Power Trip Event, and this one looks built for players who enjoy the more unpredictable side of the Outlands. Instead of focusing only on cosmetics, Respawn is giving Wildcard a major shake-up with experimental round modifiers that can completely change how a match plays out.
The Power Trip Event brings new Wildcard abilities, a fresh map rotation, temporary Legend unlocks, event challenges, a new Reward Shop, bio-enhanced skins, and Ash’s new Prestige Skin. The event will run from June 2 to June 23, giving players three weeks to jump in, collect rewards, and experience Apex Legends in a much more chaotic way.
Apex Legends Power Trip Event Release Date
The Apex Legends Power Trip Event begins on June 2, 2026, and will stay live until June 23, 2026. During this limited-time event, players will be able to take part in updated Wildcard matches, complete weekly challenge sets, collect Vials through daily event challenges, and unlock event rewards through the Power Trip Reward Shop.
Power Trip Adds Wildcard Round Modifiers
The biggest highlight of the Power Trip Event is the arrival of new Wildcard round modifiers. These modifiers change the rules of a round for every Legend at once, which means players will need to quickly adapt depending on what the match throws at them.
Some rounds can let players wall run, move faster, or jump higher, while others may turn every weapon into a Mythic weapon. There is even a modifier that shrinks all Legends, giving matches a much sillier and more unpredictable feel.
The full modifier list includes Featherweight, Armored Up, Red Handed, Crouching Camo, Small Fry, Blind Box, Adrenaline Rush, Explosive, and Blank Slate. Each one changes the flow of the match in a different way, making Wildcard feel much less predictable than standard Apex Legends.
Wildcard Map Rotation Changes Every 15 Minutes
Power Trip also introduces a new Wildcard map rotation. Instead of sticking to one map for a long stretch, Wildcard will now rotate between Kings Canyon, Olympus, and Broken Moon every 15 minutes.
Ash, Conduit, and Vantage Are Temporarily Unlocked
Respawn is also temporarily unlocking Ash, Conduit, and Vantage for the duration of the Power Trip Event.
Each week of the event will also feature its own challenge set. Completing these weekly challenges will reward players with Thematic Packs tied to Ash, Conduit, and Vantage. Week 1 offers an Ash Thematic Pack, Week 2 offers a Conduit Thematic Pack, and Week 3 offers a Vantage Thematic Pack.
Ash Prestige Skin Arrives in the Power Trip Event
One of the biggest cosmetic additions in the Power Trip Event is Ash’s new Prestige Skin. This gives the deadly simulacrum a new Mythic-tier look, complete with three levels, a custom Finisher, and a unique Dive Trail.
Ash has remained one of Apex Legends’ most visually distinct characters, and this Prestige Skin leans even harder into her cold, cybernetic identity.
New Power Trip Event Skins and Weapon Cosmetics
The Power Trip Event also adds several new bio-enhanced Legendary skins. Octane, Fuse, Wraith, Bangalore, and Lifeline are all getting event skins that can be found through Power Trip Event Packs or purchased through the Power Trip Event Store.
Weapons are getting plenty of attention as well. Legendary skins are coming for the Flatline, Havoc, Charge Rifle, Prowler, Rampage, and Mozambique. Epic skins will also be available for the Hemlok, Mastiff, and Spitfire.
The overall theme of the event seems to match the experimental stim idea behind Power Trip. The cosmetics have a bio-enhanced look, which fits nicely with the event’s focus on mutation, speed, and unstable combat rules.
Power Trip Reward Shop and Event Rewards
Players will be able to collect Vials by completing daily event challenges. These Vials can then be used in the Power Trip Event Reward Shop to redeem limited-time rewards.
According to Respawn, the Reward Shop will include an Epic Gibraltar skin during phase 1, followed by an Epic Gibraltar Banner Frame during phase 2. Event Packs and other rewards will also be available, giving players extra reasons to keep checking in throughout the event.
Power Trip Event Store Items
The limited-time Power Trip Event Store will be available from June 2 to June 23. Players will be able to pick up new event skins for Wraith, Octane, Lifeline, Bangalore, and Fuse through the Store tab during this period.
As usual, players who want specific cosmetics will likely want to check the store directly, while those who prefer event packs can try their luck through the Power Trip Event Packs.
Apex Legends Power Trip Patch Notes Include Fixes
Alongside the event content, Respawn also listed several recent updates and fixes. Xbox voice comms have been re-enabled, various server crashes and stability issues have been addressed, and players now receive the intended XP when respawning a teammate from their deathbox.
Other fixes include updates for enemy healthbars, PS5 performance mode settings, Switch and PS5 graphic settings, Axle ability names, Axle’s Ultimate targeting, Crypto drone teleporting, and Gibraltar’s Tactical protection against Gibraltar’s Ultimate while healing.
Respawn also noted that FPS drops and stuttering on specific hardware remain on its radar, so more updates may arrive later.
The Power Trip Event seems designed for players who want Apex Legends to feel less serious and more unpredictable. Wildcard was already built as a faster, more experimental mode, but the new modifiers take that idea much further.
