The League of Legends SEA Server is coming soon, as the Welcome Event will give us skins, champions, and more.

We began this journey a while back when Riot announced a SEA server under their moderation for League of Legends. TFT was also included in this, as Riot is set to take over operations from Garena. It has been something players of the region have wanted for a long time, and Riot is giving them what they want.

So far, Riot has had moderation and purview of servers in North America, Europe West, Europe Nordic & East, etc. Meanwhile, servers in China and Korea are managed by different publishers but remain under the Riot banner. Servers for Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc., are now coming under Riot’s wing.

With all that said, the Welcome Event was announced as part of the transition process as we have more details on how the event will more. We are set to get a lot of rewards from the event, like Skins, Champions, etc. Thus, let’s talk about all the different things coming with the SEA server in January 2023.

Hence, the Ranked Season will start a few days after the server launches. Ranked starts on the 12th of January, 2023, after the Patch 13.1 update lands.

Lunar New Year Event

As the start of another year is approaching, the Lunar New Year Event is also coming soon. That is set to start on the 13th of January, 2023. The event will bring in new Lunar skins for 2023. That will feature the Legendary Mythmaker Irelia and much more.

Offline Events

Riot has promised offline events with goodies and such on the docket. This is why Riot has created offices in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia while also trying to cooperate with Taiwan and Vietnam. More on that in Riot’s official social handles.

All New Esports Tournament

Riot will organize a special tournament to bring future pros to SEA Esports. In their words, Riot wants to start the SEA-ranked season with a bang, and we hope it pans out.

To be applicable for all of these rewards, you need to migrate your Garena Account. If you have not yet, please follow this article for more.
