Preseason 2023 is coming in League of Legends soon.

Patch 12.21 in League of Legends landed recently, as the game introduced K’Sante and some minor changes. These patches are designed to shape the game until the end of the year, when Riot usually comes out with their transformative updates.

We are approaching the end of the year as the Ranked Season will end soon, and Worlds 2022 has also wrapped up. All that is left is for the Preseason changes coming to the game.

We already know the many changes coming to the game. Chemtech Drake and the Chemtech Rift is coming back, and the jungle changes with the addition of pets. Also, we will be getting a new ping and voting system in the game. Finally, the patch will come with item additions and other changes/additions.

That is a lot considering the number of changes that will come out. This is typically what Riot does with the Preseason Patch to shake up League of Legends. Hence, the Preseason will officially start when the update lands in the game. Here is when we expect the Preseason to start.

When Does Preseason 2023 Start?

The first preseason patch is expected to be Patch 12.22, which is slated to be released on November 16th, 2022. The ranked season will end on November 14th, 2022. Thus, the Preseason will officially start when Patch 12.22 lands in the game. So we have to wait a little while longer to get our hands on the changes and see which direction the game is going for 2023.
