League of Legends’ upcoming tank top lane champion, K’Sante, has been revealed.
Although released eleven years ago, League of Legends is still one of the most popular esports titles, played by more than 100 million players monthly. It may be surprising to many, but the main reason League has been thriving for this long is because of its constant updates.
Riot Games pushes new patches almost every two weeks to keep the meta somewhat balanced, releases more than 140 skins every year, major reworks or mini-reworks virtually every other patch, and not to mention the new champions.
Since last year, Riot has been aiming to release five new champions, one champion per role. To attain their goal in 2022, Riot has already released four champions: Zeri, Renata Glasc, Nilah, and Bel’Veth. And the only champion that is still left behind is the tank top lane champion, a sub-class that has been out of Riot’s readers since Ornn, who was released in 2017.
However, to fill up the void, last month, Riot announced that the final champion of 2022 will be a traditional tank top lane champion named K’Sante.
Since then, there have been many speculations surrounding the champion. But now, Riot has officially unveiled League of Legends’ new top lane champion K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah.
Riot also released a cinematic trailer for K’Sante showcasing his monster hunter skills with his weapon Ntofos.
K’Sante is part of Nazumah, a Shurima area that does not worship Azir. Moreover, according to his voice actor, DeObia Oparei, K’Sante will be League’s first black LGBTQ champion.
Here’s everything you need to know about League of Legends’ 162nd champion, K’Sante.
