Riot unveiled that they will rework the ping wheel in the upcoming preseason 2023.
As League of Legends season 12 is almost over, Riot Games has finally announced all the changes coming in the preseason 2023.
Usually, in the preseason, we get new system changes, quality of life improvements, jungle changes, a new champion, new items, etc. And this preseason is no exception.
Riot has finally shown off the preview of the preseason 2023. In this preseason, we will be getting the return of chemtech drake; massive jungle changes with the addition of jungle pets, vision improvements, top lane changes, new runes & ability recommendations, new items, and most importantly, communication changes featuring new and updated ping wheel.
League of Legends is a team-based game, so players must communicate with their team to win. And this game currently allows multiple ways for players to communicate with their teammates; the most used of them is the ping system.
The current ping system was introduced over ten years ago during season 3. And compared to Riot’s other newer titles like VALORANT, which are very dated, League one doesn’t allow for many skill expressions and isn’t user-friendly overall.
Riot Games announced that they would rework the Ping System this preseason to make the communication system more user-friendly and add more depth.
