Riot has revealed that they are releasing a new nexus finisher in League of Legends, Kabooooom!
Riot has been releasing a lot of content in League of Legends during recent events since last year. During last year’s summer event, we saw the release of a new game mode called Arena. Alongside that, we also got an in-client mini-game and some notable Soul Fighter skins. Then in later of the year, we saw the return of Nexus Blitz. Then in the mid-season, Riot released the Swarm, a completely new game mode that was never seen before in League of Legends.
And recently with the release of Arcane season 2, it is expected that Riot would be releasing a lot of content to celebrate it. They did release and announce a lot of them. In terms of mini-games, they released an in-client mini-game called Jinx Fixes Everything. Then they also released a brand new ARAM map called Bridge of Progress.
As for skins, they have already announced and released many of them. Moreover, there is also Viktor VGU who is also coming in the last patch of the year, alongside his new legendary Savior Viktor skin.
Besides these, another thing Riot has revealed is a new type of cosmetic, Nexus Finisher. And the first Nexus Finisher that we will get in the game is, Kabooooom!

League of Legends Nexus Finisher: Kabooooom!
Firstly, let’s talk about what a Nexus Finisher is. So whenever a winning team destroys the enemy Nexus, if they have a Nexus Finisher equipped, then an animation will play. So that might bring another question, what if a team has multiple unique Nexus Finishers equipped? Then a randomly equipped Finisher animation will play.
Now let’s get back to the upcoming Nexus Finisher, Kabooooom! You can guess from the name that it references Jinx, specifically her Ultimate. This finisher fires a rocket with a lot of graffiti VFX. This is what you can expect from a Jinx-themed finisher. The cool part is that the Victory screen is also different and has a lot of graffiti, which looks really nice.
Price
These Nexus Finishers will cost premium currency to acquire. As for Kabooooom!, it will cost you 250 Mythic Essence.

This new Nexus Finisher will be released on patch 14.24, scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
