As season 2025 is getting closer, the abilities of League of Legends’ upcoming champion, Mel Medarda have been leaked.

Back in 2021, Riot released the Netflix series Arcane. It is based on League of Legends. Due to it, it is based on the fictional world of Runeterra. Specifically, it takes place in the city of Piltover and Zaun. Since it is a show based on League of Legends, we see many popular League of Legends there.

As it is a series, it also features a lot of characters not seen in League of Legends. One of them is Mel Medarda.

While I will not be going over spoilers in this article, Mel Medarda is a very prominent character in the series. Due to the show’s popularity, we even saw her mother’s release in the game Ambessa Medarda.

Recently, Riot revealed that the 2025 season 1 will be themed after Noxus. Therefore, it will contain Noxus-themed content. Some things they revealed that will be coming to the game are Noxus-themed Summoner’s Rift, Noxus-themed boots, as well as a Noxus-themed battle pass. They also revealed that they will be releasing champions based on that theme as well. And leaks have revealed that Mel Madarda will be coming to League of Legends in that season.

Recently, well-known leaker Big Bad Bear revealed some of the abilities of Mel Medarda. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

League of Legends: Leaked Mel Medarda Abilities

  • Passive
    • Design-wise, Mel’s passive is very similar to Kai’Sa’s Q. WIth her auto attacks, he also shoots extra projectiles. Moreover, these projectiles will be able to execute enemy champions if there are enough stacks passive and the enemies are low enough.
  • Q
    • Mel Medarda’s Q will be similar to the old Everfrost item. She will cast an AOE and enemies in the middle will be stunned.
  • W
    • Her W will be similar to Yasuo’s wind wall, but instead of blocking, it reflects the projectile. It also gives Mel, a burst of movement speed as well. Additionally, it also references her iconic shield scene from Arcane season 2.
  • E
    • Mel’s E is very similar to Morgana’s W. She deals damage to enemy minions and champions, and she also gains passive stacks for that execution.
  • R
    • Her ultimate increases her passive stack damage. With her ultimate, she can explode the stacks at once. But they keep the stacks, allowing her to explode them again.

Overall, Mel is shaping up to be more of a damage dealer than a support. But we have to wait and see how she works in the game.
