Riot has revealed that we are getting a new Summoner’s Rift revamp in 2025 themed after Noxus.
Last year we got one of the biggest Summoner’s Rift changes ever in League of Legends. Riot at the time changed both the layout and even the design in a lot of aspects.
To recap, Riot Games changed the layout which made both sides more balanced than ever. Made ganking easier in certain lanes, while harder in others. Not only that, when Baron Nashor spawns in the rift, both the jungle and the monsters residing in them, become void monsters instead. Killing the void monster grants buffs to the entire team.
With that said, this Summoner’s Rift rework was a huge success as it made the game more diverse than before. And that’s just the beginning. Recent leaks and rumors revealed that we might be getting a new Summoner’s Rift in 2025. And now Riot just confirmed that we are getting a Noxus-themed Summoner’s Rift in 2025 season 1.

Noxus Summoner’s Rift In 2025 Season 1
Earlier this year, Riot revealed that they will be changing how each season is structured among other things. Firstly, every year will have three seasons, similar to splits. Moreover, each season will be based on a theme. And most of the content coming out that season will be based on that theme as well.
Speaking of themes, the first theme of season 1 will be based on Noxus. The entire map will look more like a war battlefield. Not only that the turrets will look more menacing.
Alongside the new turret visuals, the new Nexus Turret can respawn after a short while, so the losing team can still make a comeback.
Alongside the release of the new Noxus map, Riot is releasing a new epic monster, Atakhan. And Atakhan will now spawn roses around the map. Hitting the roses will grant bonus Adaptive Force to its user.
Speaking of Atakhan, this new epic monster will spawn near the lane where there is the most amount of kills/death/damage. Moreover, he will spawn at the 20-mins mark.
Whichever side Atakhan spawns, he will also spawn a permanent wall around that lane. These new gameplay tools will bring more diversity to the game.
Release Date
The new Noxus Summoner’s Rift will be released in League of Legends in early January 2025 on patch 25.S1.1. The exact date is yet to be revealed.
