As the end of season 14 is nearing, the newest Epic Monster of League of Legends has been leaked, Atakhan.

This year has been one of the most unique years in terms of gameplay in the League of Legends history. Around that time, we received a lot of new content in the game.

At the start of the year, we had gotten a revamp to Summoner’s Rift, the Rift Herald rework, changes to the Baron Pit, jungle changes, etc. Riot also brought back the Arena game mode with many new changes and in the mid-season we even got a new game mode called Swarm. Additionally, they also released a new epic monster called Voidgrubs.

This addition was a huge deal as they don’t really add new epic monsters in League of Legends. For context, Epic monsters are neutral monsters in Summoner’s Rift that give out massive buffs. The epic monsters currently in the game are the Dragons, Rift Herald, Baron Nashor, and the Voidgrubs that I mentioned earlier.

With that said, Voidgrubs changed the meta significantly as they dealt burn damage to towers. This made split pushing and overall snowballing more easier. Now recent leaks suggest that Riot will be adding a new epic monster, Atakhan.

The new epic monster Atakhan will be spawned at the 20-minute mark. Additionally, it will spawn on the lane that will have the most amount of kills/deaths/damage. When it spawns, there will be roses around him. Damaging those roses will grant AD/AP to the champion who damaged it. Killing Atakhan will grant even higher stacks of roses, thus you will get even more AD/AP.

Atakhan will also have a second form on matches that are even “Bloodier”. This probably means the matches that have a high amount of kills and deaths. If you kill this form then you will get a free resurrection passive similar to a Guardian Angel.

This new epic monster will definitely change the game significantly and will be released at the start of 2025.
